We now live in a world where artificial intelligence can write, think, plan, and even “coach” us.

From the convenience of asking a chatbot for career advice to using an app to decide what to eat, we’re slowly letting machines do more of our thinking for us.

We risk weakening one of the most important muscles we have — the mind.

When leaders stop thinking critically — when we let algorithms make the hard calls — we risk losing not only our judgment, but our humanity.

AI was built to assist, not replace human wisdom.

Yet too many leaders now lean on it to decide who to hire, how to discipline, or when to cut costs — without the nuance of empathy, context, or culture that human judgment brings.

Algorithms can’t feel tension in a room.

They can’t read the hesitation behind a “yes” or sense when burnout is brewing.

They only process what’s been programmed, and they reflect the bias, pressure, or short-term thinking of those inputs.

The result?

Decisions that may look efficient on paper but erode trust, morale, and belonging in practice.

When people feel reduced to data points, they disengage.

AI was designed to augment human intelligence, not replace it.

Yet many are falling into the trap of letting AI decideinstead of assist.

When we accept every answer as truth because it’s well-written or “sounds right,” we lose our ability to question, discern, and connect dots on our own.

This slow erosion of independent thought doesn’t just affect our intellect; it seeps into our mental health.

When we remove that process — when we let algorithms choose our news, our diets, or our next move — we dull our emotional intelligence and intuition.

The very skills that create confidence, resilience, and creativity begin to fade.

Outsourcing your mind disconnects you from your inner voice — the quiet knowing that guides you toward balance and purpose.

When that intuition is replaced with the “certainty” of technology, we begin to doubt ourselves and lose alignment with what is authentically right for us.

Why is all this happening?

Because.

We elected leaders and government that are only interested in the performance of economic growth.

Algorithms ensure that we are distracted 7/7 with social media full of rubbish and lies.

Our education system are now totally out of date no longer teaching the reasoning.

When citizens stop participating the game is over.

If we don’t get a grip on ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE our live become absurd.

The current set of problems facing the world is exposing as never before just how fragile we humans are.

We are facing three major challenges ( over which we have no control) CLIMATE CHANGE and ARTIFICIAL-INTELLIGENCE + SOCIAL MEDIA

The question is do we want to live or just exist in a world run by a few wealthy people.

These days it appears that we don’t want to hold powerful people to account.

They get a headline and thats it.

Take for example.

Prince Andrew who thought his privilege position would protect him till he became Andy.

Or

George Michel former US senator who played a critical role in Northern Ireland’s peace process once described his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein as a “blessing”.

He is now an old codger, but age should not excuse his crimes.

Donald Dump has gone to great lengths to sweep the whole Epstine thing under the carpet.

Epstine died by suicide.

———————-

The fragility of humans was especially shown in the two world wars.

A prime example would be the 7th Panzer Division brutality (that should never be forgotten ) as it made its way to Normandy, massacring all that stood in its way.

Or the recent brutal force of Israel retaliation. Committing a Genocide in response to an attack that killed around 1000 it has wiped out 60,000 Palestines, as the world watched it do so with impunity.

Humanity had always been fragile and will remain so till it learns to live in peace.

In order to make any difference we have to change the way we protect our shared human values. Somehow we must place them beyond the reach of ourselves where they are protected against any technological advances, wars etc.

Ukraine Russia war which is now four years old.

This can only be achieved with universal agreement to tackle, control what is self evident.

Climate change is self evident. Humanity must choose profit or a liveable planet

Artificial intelligence is less self evident. Digital slavery or freedom.

Social Media is evidence in abundance. False information or the truth.

THE BEADY EYE SAYS WE NOT FAR OFF THE FIRST LEGAL CASE INVOLVING A CODE DRIVEN MACHINE.

The major of problems with Algorithms is just who owns them.

Who is responsible when something goes wrong.

A machine driven by a code that humans invented remains within the current laws of defending or prosecution.

But once a machine becomes conscious it steps out of any human made laws into a legal void.

Currently there are no legal requirements to declare either an owner or their usages.

The question is :,

If the machine is capable of being responsible for its own actions, is the original coder of the machine removed from any legitimate legal obligation, as the machine is now capable of making it’s own decisions without any further human interventions.

What is the point of having laws that govern a machine if it has no emotions, no sense of fear, no sense of anything biological, no laws will protect anything that comes in contact.

So how does one go about setting rules and regulations for conscientious machinery ?

What if such machine were to kill a human there is no human law that could be applied that would have any impact, or effect.

There is only one way.

That way is that all conscious AI no matter what form it or they take must have like all hospital beds an alarm button within its. A fail safe code that can be activated to turn it off

The password to this function comes with its purchase and there is a legal requirement that it is held on your mobile phone in a designated file called AI Emergency.

You might think this is over the top.

I say if we humans want to have any resiliency or control over future AI we must be able to shut down the power that is running any AI machine.

While one of us out of 11 goes hungry every day, we currently building data centres using so much water to keep them cool that there will be nothing left to drink.

There leadership for you.

THE BEADY EYE SAYS. IF WE REALLY WANT TO REDUCE POVERTY AND INEQUALITY – POVERTY IS GETTING WORSE, WE NEED TO ADOPTED A BASIC LIVING WAGE.

Just like climate change , this is an area where we have built an industry around the problem rather than a cure.

The results of Aid given to non rich countries shows that this kind of aids has little or no impact in tackling the growing inequality gap or poverty for that matter.

With the coming loss of thousands of jobs to AI,

Now is the time to introduce a Basic Living

Wage.

Direct Aid ensure dignity.

It acts as a stimulant to weak economy and encourage imagination.

Now we all know the arguments against a Basic Wage. Inflation! Just think what Donal Trump tariffs are doing.

It’s time to get rid of social welfare and equip people with the means to look after themselves.

To manage their own medical /educational and daily needs.

We try all other routes so on the pre-text that the establishment of a BASIC WAGE has been try with small groups and found to have positive results why not explore it.

We can say poverty in all the languages under the sun and have done so since time memorial till AID foundation are blue in the face.

There is nothing to be lost to let people find their own footing within society,

Affect centuries of giving Aid that had not turned into happiness but into corruption.

This is not Wealth distribution. This is equipping individuals with the means to improve their lives.

Let’s be creative.

Happiest comes from self respect and self respect is obtained through pride.

There is often quite appalling disparity in social conditions and a hostility born of fear between against the privileged and the deprived, the exploiters and the exploited.

The privilege always use any surpluses to either improve or protect their position.

We can only try to reverse that position with taxes., or with what is called the triangle down capitalism, which we knew has not worked and will never work.

I know that there have been places where a basic wage has been tried, with some considerable success.

Let’s give back some pride.

THE BEADY EYE ASKS FOR WHAT REASONS DO YOU THINK YOU ARE GIVEN A LIFE IN THE FIRST PLACE.

( Five minute read)

There are I suppose three main questions to ask oneself when it comes to what is life for?

One.: Why bother living it?

Two: Who or what gives it to you in the first instance?

You could say your parents, but that’s not right, as you can receive it outside you parents from any organically union.

Three: What is its purpose?

To Answer these questions is virtually impossible. The best attempts at doing so are contained in SAPIENS & NEXUS.

There is no single people’s in the world.

It has taken centuries to establish the species called human and as you know life is full of them killing each other for thousands of years and reasons.

However we are now fast approaching a mix of organic life and artificial life.

Apart from procreation it seems up to now our main purpose in life is ti advance humanity by making discoveries in order to share life highs and lows with those who are living one this very moment in time.

However with this non – organic artificial life approaching fast this is going to change.

Why?

Because there is no doubt that the meaning of life is going to evolve as we discover our universe.

Where life comes from no one knows.

This is probably the main reason we have religions believes.

We all however know life is not forever, so why do we waste it persuading trivia pleaser.

Is there something that awaits us that we haven’t discovered as yet.

All human groups on earth to this point have developed as organic organisms so the meaning of life has also evolved organically not Artificially.

Of course if one was not able to be conscious of life, there would be no life.

This will not be so when we have robots.

There exists will be all about who is in charge of the on and off switch.

And you can rest assured that will be the main purpose of what they will consider life to be.

THE BEADY EYE ASK’S: DO WE LIVE A LIFE OR JUST EXIST AS A LIFE ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

( Twelve minute read)

NOT A FAIR QUESTION.

We can’t base our self-worth on something that’s largely out of our control.

The concept of time deludes us into concerning ourselves with its passing and impending arrival.

Because time is an illusion, which makes being controlled by time somewhat delusional.

The past doesn’t exist and neither does the future. The only true reference point we have to this moment in time, and to this thing we label “existence”, is a feeling of presence, of being here in this body, of seeing the world through these eyes. You can’t feel the past or the future, but you can feel what it feels like to touch something right now, to see something, to hear something.

It is important that we understand that to not be present is to be torn between two worlds, the past and the future, neither of which exist. To constantly reside in this state prevents us enjoying life and finding happiness, as we become victims of the past and a slave to a future that is yet to unravel.

Without time, the concept of when would not exist.

Time is infused into all that we do. Your very existence is designed by time. We check compulsively check time because we’ve conditioned ourselves to deem time as imperative to our survival.

If we don’t know what time it is — how the hell do we function?

So Just how free are we to live our own life as we want to?

——

We are not alone.

Other people can dictate many of the circumstances of our life. But, does that mean we are creatures of circumstance? Or can we still be the architects of our own life? Are we at the mercy of circumstances? Or is it rather that we ourselves create the circumstances, and therefore must accept responsibility for what we do?

Yes, of course, we are creatures of circumstances, to a large certain extent.

There are countless things, all around us in life, that are beyond our control , but we have the power of personal choice. We can decide how we live our life, what we think, what we do, what we love, what we hate. Circumstances do challenge our choices, but they never destroy our personal freedom if we become the architect of our circumstances.

Today’s way of life teaches you that you have to be busy to be seen as successful. And if you’re not stressed, then there must be something wrong with you. Moreover, you can’t just fill your days to the brim with “stuff”—because there’s the added pressure of having to capture every moment so you can share the images, vision and stories that prove you’re getting ahead.

Whether we’re religious or not, all of us have the gift of life, full of excuses with the inevitable result?

Countless things get left undone, that should have been done. There’s no time to connect with what you’re doing or to really stop and wonder why it is you’re doing it. Besides, it felt like I’d gone too far down the road to give up everything I’d achieved and start again.

And that’s the crux of the issue right there.

Somewhere along the way, we had been taught that life had to be complex before we could get anywhere. And worse, we believed that if we’re to make it simpler then we had to give up everything we had.

Starting again is just too daunting to think about. It takes you straight to overwhelm, at which point everything seems too hard. When you’re in that state, staying where you are—and living life the way you’re already living it—seems to be less painful than walking away and having to begin again.

The truth is this:

A simple life is about finding the things that are important to you and then creating the simplest pathway to have them in your life. There’s also no label that comes with having a simple life either, so you don’t have to pigeonhole yourself in any way.

That’s it.

We’re all unique, extraordinary human beings… so we need unique and extraordinary solutions that provide solutions for our own lives.

——

Why are we here on this earth?

Human intelligence was born in the Great Rift Valley of East Africa, as our ape ancestors evolved increasingly bigger brains. But our ape ancestors might never even have existed. 65 million years ago, dinosaurs dominated the Earth, as they had done for over 160 million years.

How have we ended up as the most advanced species on a small blue-green planet, orbiting a seemingly insignificant star, in one of the hundred billion galaxies in the Universe?

Earth’s surface that travels at a speed of seven miles every second. That makes us the only creature on Earth – possibly the only creature in our galaxy, or even our Universe – to have left its home world.

So how did we become such a unique animal?

Why am I here on earth? Where did I come from? What am I worth? Do I have any intrinsic value? Do I serve a purpose? These are all fundamental questions. They are life’s “big questions.”

How you answer these questions determines how you see the world and how you treat the world. Because you are a part of the world, how you see the world also determines how you see and treat yourself. So, it’s important that we resolve these fundamental questions. And it’s important that we discover the honest truth. Wrong answers to important questions aren’t helpful.

Why Am I Here? – The Atheistic Worldview
Why I am here? Well, if God doesn’t exist, that means that life must have come about through some natural impersonal, unintelligent, and ultimately purposeless process. That means we’re ultimately as purposeless as the very process which brought us into existence. Life’s just an accident and so are you.

Without a Creator in the beginning, there was nobody around to put you here on purpose which means you aren’t here for a reason. It’s that simple.

Why Am I Here? – The Theistic Worldview
Why am I here? Well, if God does exist, that means He is ultimate reality. If He created you for a reason, that’s ultimately why your here. If you’re valuable to Him, that’s ultimately what you’re worth. What He says is right is absolutely right and what He says is wrong is absolutely wrong. We may be free moral agents with the freedom to make moral decisions, but that doesn’t mean we can choose what actually is right or wrong; that just means we’re capable of choosing to be right or wrong.

The Omnipotence Paradox

The Omnipotence Paradox is a philosophical problem that challenges the idea of an all-powerful God. The paradox argues that if God is truly omnipotent, then he should be able to do anything, including things that are logically impossible. However, if God cannot do something that is logically impossible, then he is not truly omnipotent. This paradox has been debated by philosophers for centuries and continues to be a topic of discussion in modern times.

The basic form of the Omnipotence Paradox can be presented as follows:

Can God create a stone so heavy that he cannot lift it? If God can create such a stone, then he is not omnipotent because he cannot lift it. If God cannot create such a stone, then he is also not omnipotent because there is something he cannot do.

So don’t begin by asking, “Why am I here?” Begin by asking, “Does God exist?” If He doesn’t exist there’s really no point in asking “why am I here?” – everything is ultimately pointless. And if He does exist, you’ll discover your reason for living when you discover who He is. So begin at the beginning. Does God exist?

Belief in the existence of God (or gods) is definitional of theism and characteristic of many (though not all) religious traditions .Arguments for the existence of God are usually classified as either a priori or a posteriori—that is, based on the idea of God itself or based on experience.

It may be possible (or impossible) to prove the existence of God, but it may be unnecessary to do so in order for belief in God to be reasonable.

This post is not about the existence of a God even it was true to all arguments for or against, merely deflect the question to that of who created God.  Life will take care of the rest.

The world’s population stands at 7.91 billion in January 2022, with the annual growth rate of 1.0 percent suggesting that this figure will reach 8 billion sometime in mid-2023.

Well over half (57.0 percent) of the world’s population now lives in urban areas.

More than two-thirds (67.1 percent) of the world’s population now uses a mobile phone, with internet penetration now standing at 62.5 percent of the world’s total population, with 58.4 percent of the world’s total population using social media. 12½ trillion hours spent online, a new milestone in internet adoption, and new records for social media use…

424 million users started their social media journey over the past year, equating to an average of more than 1 million new users per day, or roughly 13½ new users every single second.

Within the context of social media — when it’s not clear that people are necessarily engaging in real self presentation and there’s a lot of ideal-self or false-self presentation — is that good?”

I always think of social media as mapping our social lives in the mass media, where everyone can interact with you and judge your every move. Social media has become an important part of our lives whether we like it or not.

When you pull out your phone to take a photo, are you planning to share it on social media? Why is it so important that people – most of whom you’ve never met – see the minutiae of your daily life?

The fact is that when we use social media we’re being tracked and we’re being manipulated.

Social media gives us a different perspective on where we fit in the world,.

I want us to think about how we quantify our experience in a way that isn’t really up to us – it’s based on algorithms and other people. If we really want to understand the effect social media is having on our lives, we need to move away from just thinking about the time spent on it, to how that time is used.

“I want people to think about how weird it is that we’re posting pictures of our experiences just for the ‘likes’ and the ‘shares’

Growing up with digital technology may be changing teen brain development in ways we don’t yet know — and these changes may, in turn, change how teens relate to technology.

But not everything in life is clearly yes or clearly no – like or don’t like, share or don’t share. I worry that we’re losing sight of being OK with ambiguity. Just because there’s no ‘maybe’ button, it doesn’t mean everything is black and white.

The Covid pandemic highlighted just how beholding to social media our lives have become. It’s how young people organise mass climate change protests, but also how anti-vaxxers spread dangerous misinformation.

Current 24-hour news cycle is just one example of our growing information consumption, contributing to a hidden epidemic of ‘digital un-wellbeing’.

Social media has changed the way we live our lives and will continue to do so in the future.

However the hope has to be that with its help we are realizing that all life is interconnected.

Wherever you are, commit to being there, completely.

(Twenty-minute read)

This is a vast subject which is not possible to address in an 800-word blog.

However, values role’s in our lives and their importance is not always fully understood.

Values are the things that are important to us, the foundation of our lives.

What I am interested in here is exploring the influence of technology and its advancement and how it now relates to the modification of cultural values.

Technology commonly exerts a strong influence on daily practices, changing the way values are carried out with each new development.

Will this in the end ‘kill’ our social cohesion and will groups of people be left out? Or will our social interaction become extensive and will our relationships get better? Are there any common values left?

These are all questions that can’t be answered yet and can only be answered in the future.

Technology is all around us.

It is so pervasive in our everyday life that it is impossible to get away from it.

It has become almost invisible so that most of us don’t know how to interact in the real world or with our environment, but it is how humans are using technology that is so devastating our common values.

Before COVID-19 we were already isolating ourselves from physical contact with smartphones.

The virus has pushed us further apart with social distancing, online education, and social platforms replacing almost all forms of entertainment.

Are we connected better nowadays with social media, or are we worse off?’

One of the aspects of culture and values is social interaction between people. How we behave to one another and in which way we do that. Social media has taken a big role in our social interaction. We no longer have to speak to a person to know what they are doing. We just look on twitter of Facebook.

Social media and smartphones both are turning us into non-empathic couch potatoes and it is this passive use of technology that is the reason technology is ruining not just our values but humanity itself.

With the arrival of COVID-19 ( His “epidemic”) technology isn’t allowing the young generation to truly embrace our humanity while creating a gap between generations.

The real connection such as visual and emotional expressions aren’t shown anymore, because we are looking at a computerized display. This way messages could be understood differently than they should be, because they don’t get to know the real meaning behind the message.

If Facebook was a country, it would be the world’s 3rd largest country in terms of population.

Now is the opportunity to realize this and that we must use technology as a tool, not reality.

Our overbearing dependence on technology can be detrimental to society.

It is not the be-all and end-all of everything. Everyone is entitled to their own values, attitudes, and beliefs.

For example. From the outside, the cultural values of a group can often be difficult to understand.

In India, 80% of the population practices the Hindu religion. For the believers of this religion, the figure of the cow is venerated and should not be sacrificed. In western culture, this is a strange cultural value, since cows are a source of food and not of worship.

or

Some people may see great value in saving the world’s rainforests. However, a person who relies on the logging of a forest for their job may not place the same value on the forest as a person who wants to save it.

——————————————————————————————-

Before the coronavirus crisis exploded and confronted us with a life-and-death threat to every corner of our planet those who worked in what could be called taken for granted jobs we not valued neither in money terms or the essential services they provided to us all.

As a result, society discovered new heroes.

Times of crisis bring out the best in us. Superficial concerns fall away and we rediscover what really matters: Our values.

Now that the Pandemic in the western world is coming under control (we hope) and the murder of a colored man in the USA our worldwide values which have been honed by decades of biased history are coming under the spotlight, not just our personal views but societies as a whole.

BUT WHAT ARE THOSE VALUES AND HAVE DUG DOWN TO CORE VALUES AND WILL WE PUT THEM INTO ACTION?

It is easy to compile a list of personnel values and at the same time aspire to universal values of peace, human dignity, equal human rights, and freedom values.

They are at the core of our being. They are our motivators, our drivers, the passion in our hearts, the reason we do the things we do and feel the way we feel. They help us to make better choices in life, develop healthy patterns of behavior, and form and maintain meaningful personal relationships.

They are the compass guiding everything we do – our choices and our actions.

So, if we want to change the world for the better, then we have to change
our own behaviors.

Living by your personal values sounds easy—at least in theory. Your values, after all, are simply the things that are important to you in life, so it should be natural to live by them.

Here are some more questions to get you started:

  1. What’s important to you in life?
  2. If you could have any career, without worrying about money or other practical constraints, what would you do?
  3. When you’re reading news stories, what sort of story or behavior tends to inspire you?
  4. What type of story or behavior makes you angry?
  5. What do you want to change about the world or about yourself?
  6. What are you most proud of?
  7. When were you the happiest?

Think about our most important values and to act on them.

Living your values is about more than the big, long-term goals, however, it’s also about the small, day-to-day decisions. Putting them into action each and every day will have a powerful impact on our own wellbeing, the wellbeing of the groups and communities we belong to, and the wellbeing of the whole world.

The passive use of Technology is the reason technology is ruining our Humanity.

Why is technology ruining humanity?

The only reason people do things is that life gives them the opportunity to do so. Which by extent, whether they know it or not, implies that people value their life.

Behind every use of technology is a person, as behind every murder, there is also a person.

We are about to pass through a long and very painful period of adjustment which is fraught with danger at the cost of permanently reducing human beings and many other living organisms to engineered products and mere cogs in the social machine.

As the noose of technological enslavement tightens on humanity will our values have any value?

They say that innovations in technology can save the world and is extending democracy. I say that it is concentrating even more power in the hands of a tiny elite.

Personal Values are formulated by a variety of influences, environmental influences including upbringing, religion, friends, family, peers, and, education not by algorithms, virtual reality.

Until we get better at using technology as a tool I think we’re cooked, we’re going to continue to extinct species and we’re going to continue to dig the hole deeper of the whole eco-social crisis.

If you just hold your cell phone for 30 seconds and think backward through its production you have the entire techno-industrial culture wrapped up there.

You can’t have a smartphone an I pad or use Social media without everything that goes with it. You see mining, transportation, manufacturing, computers, high-speed communications, satellite communications, it’s all there, you see and it’s that techno-industrial culture that’s destroying the world.

The only way we’ll be able to responsibly harness the fruits that technology bears are with a renewed attitude of cooperation and care for the most vulnerable among us.

Technology has given us the tools to reshape how we live in the world; if it also changes the way we interact with our neighbors, it can be transformational.

Technology can inspire progressive social policies. When 62 billionaires have as much wealth as the bottom half of the world’s population, it’s clear that political principles are skewed toward the influential in business.

Overall, technology has the potential to reduce suffering, fight disease, and level the playing field for the poor if we use it as a tool, not as values.

Values are immensely powerful!

We know that human history is full of hideous, horrible acts, but it is important it explains why things are the way thy are. The problem is that is it not taught in schools without warts so no one gets a free pass.

History is the past it cannot be changed.

But mature humans don’t live in the past and we need to start seeing each other as fellow humans. If we do so maybe we can start addressing the real cause of inequality in our societies which is our present economic systems.

However, you don’t have to go into the future to see what is happing.  In the last forty years, we have wiped out 40% of our wildlife, acidified our oceans, pumped CO2 into the atmosphere, destroyed vast regions for livestock, ignored world natural disasters all for the sake of short term profits.

If we don’t have a fucking healthy biodiversity-ecosystem there will be no need for profits or values.

With world economies, slowly reopening, I won’t hold my breath as it is easier to keep viewing thinks as black and white and profit for profit sake, not Clickbait.

We all deserve to be treated as human beings of worth.

However because values are culture-bound, what’s good for one culture may be (and often is) deemed an abomination by another.

Herein lies the ultimate irresolvable dilemma.

Culture gives us prescriptions for appropriate conduct. When judging values, we should not speak in terms of right or wrong, black or white rather we should look at competing values in terms of better and worse.

Who’s to say what my values will be in 2030?

When I hear competing values shouted by a person from a different culture than mine, I hope to take a deep breath, realize that he/she is simply expressing a deep need they have, and then perhaps I can share my values and needs without fostering judgment, evaluations of their character, or moralistic analysis.

In the end, compassionate dialogue changes live, not right/wrong judgment, or taking the keen.

All comments valued. All like clicks and abuse chucked in the bin.

(Five-minute read)

I know it’s a heavy question, but now perhaps it is one of the most important questions we all have to answer in the future.

It can be tough to notice all the amazing things that life has to offer.

Can we be satisfied with the successful pursuit of love, work, and play?

A fulfilling life can be elusive, as there aren’t any concrete factors that truly determine whether or not a person has truly found happiness. Satisfaction often yields happiness, but even the pursuit is enough to give life meaning.

For me, it is sharing that gives life meaning.

Active listening by taking your friend’s feelings into account when making a decision and phasing out people who introduce stress or negative feelings out of your life.

The successes of your friends are important and worthy of celebrating.

Get to know them.

Find value in what you do. I.E. finding a job that aligns with your personal passions. It’s important to find a line of work that offers the amount of freedom you feel is necessary and appropriate. Accomplishing something of value.

Obsessing over past failures can’t change what happened. The opinions of others carry only as much weight as you allow them to.

Giving back. Find a cause you are passionate about and donate to it, volunteer your time, or offer your support in some way.

Remember that your strengths are a big part of what makes you great.

Forgiving can be among the hardest things to master, as often it’s the things that hurt the most that are most in need of forgiveness.

Remember, life is always worth living and there are people out there that can help.

It’s about the relationships we create, develop, support and maintain with people, colleagues, friends, and members of our family. Every person we meet adds invaluable experience to our life. Even the most complicated relationships we find ourselves in teaching us something worthwhile.

The answer rests in the ability to create, to dream and to strive to turn those dreams into reality. It’s all about big and small achievements when we prove ourselves being able to push the limits away. It’s about discovering the depths of your unlimited potential.

By accepting what is going on and what happened, we release ourselves from oppressive judgments and wishes for things to pan out differently.

Enjoy all the little things, and with the time you will discover their profound meaning and that they weren’t little after all.

One thing that makes life more fulfilling and worth living are really connecting with the world around us. Nature.

Religious faith may be reassuring, but science cannot objectively tell someone whether they should adhere to Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, or some other religion. It cannot even tell an individual what version of Christianity (Catholic, Baptist, Morman, etc.) or Islam (Shia or Sunni) they ought to adopt. Hence, religion and vague spiritual ideas—such as “everything happens for a reason”—can not provide an evidence-supported basis for living.

But most people, fortunately, can find lots of reasons to value their lives.

Time does not stand still for anybody so perhaps Boris Johnston Priminster after his Coronavirus experience now realizes that sharing is what makes life go around and not get Brexit done.

One thing that makes life more fulfilling and worth living are really connecting with the world around us. If you consider your most precious memories they are probably with other people when you were doing something beyond your personal satisfaction.

Living a full, meaningful and thriving life comes down to being engaged in the world around us, not in virtual reality.

All human comments appreciated. All lie clicks and abuse chucked in the bin.

( The very fact that I have to indicate how long it will take to read this post in order to enhance its chances of being read, is in itself an indictment of our lifestyle)

(4/6 minutes)

We are temporal beings – born into a world that existed before us with its religion and culture, its history already written, and to make sense of this world we engage in various pastimes to get by.

YOU COULD NOT BE BLAMED FOR THINKING WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING TO THE WORLD YOU LIVE IN. YOU COULD PUT THE BLAME ON THE GREED OF CAPITALISM.

BUT NOT FOR MUCH LONGER.

The “economic problem” that had defined our species from the beginning is now in decline.

IT’S TIME TO UNDERSTAND THAT THE CAPITALISM as we know it will eventually need to be superseded with a post-scarcity system that is built around the new economic reality.

But what will that reality be?

Modern life is, for most of us, a kind of serfdom to mortgage, job and the constant assault to consume. Although we have more time and money than ever before, most of us have little sense of control over our own lives. It is all connected to the apathy that means fewer and fewer people vote. Politicians don’t listen to us anyway. Big business has all the power; religious extremism all the fear.Afficher l'image d'origine

Certainly we can say that the pace of modern life, increased and supported by our technology in general and our personal electronics in particular, has resulted in a short attention span and an addiction to the influx of information.

A mind so conditioned has little opportunity to think critically, and even less chance to experience life deeply by being in the present moment. A complex life with complicated activities, relationships and commitments implies a reflexive busy-ness that supplants true thinking and feeling with knee-jerk reactions.

Modern Life today has become a series of spectacles to be viewed, not actions to be lived. We live in a world of many alarms, none of which sound our true concerns.

The difference between technology and slavery is that slaves are fully aware that they are not free.

The very shaping of history now outpaces the ability of men to orient themselves in accordance with cherished values.

We spend more time gazing at luminous screens, and clicking like buttons than voicing our concerns. Consequently, the void in quality leadership is filled ( as we have recently witness by the Election of Trump) by a charismatic or toxic leader can have disastrous results.

The science of robotics has exploded with revolutionary developments in the past few years and many more previously unimaginable breakthroughs are now on the immediate horizon.

Humanity may be on the verge of experiencing something comparable in effect to the Cambrian Explosion making it possible for machines “to replicate the performance of many of the perceptual parts of the brain,” including, fittingly enough, vision itself. The Death Of Privacy

We are in the midst of a communication revolution on a par with the invention of writing or the printing press which is no doubt bring about a period of considerable turmoil and angst and the effects on economic output and human workers are certain to be profound.

The transformation of employment wrought by robots and digital communication is not restricted to manufacturing. One-half of existing jobs will be eliminated in the coming one or two decades, and there is no sector that will be immune to automation.

Just in case you think you will not be effected white-collar jobs are also on the digital chopping block.

No one in their right mind foresees any new employment sectors opening up that are or will be sufficient to swallow the displaced workers or the hundreds of millions of people entering the workforce across the planet. Not even close.

Even the prospect of ever-lower wages cannot compete with the gigantic promise of the new technologies.

These developments are going to pose direct and mortal challenges to both capitalism and democracy.

The revolutionary advances in technology are hardly a panacea; they only seem to promote ever-greater talk about the need to slash living standards and cut back on social services.

This is a supreme irony – at the exact moment far less human labour is necessary to produce more than enough to satisfy human wants and needs, the system that fostered that abundance is incapable of adapting to it.

The Internet has transformed our economies, our culture and politics, and our very way of life. The tragedy is while the declining system of Capitalism is evolving more into a decaying feudal order than providing the basis for an affluent society with social mobility we are accepting the transformation with the majority of us confused or distracted into silence.

We live in a ready-made world with ready-made values. The days of every action we take is a choice, decided upon by us and no one else are evaporating right in front of our eyes.

Many of us are manipulated into pursuing desires that are not ours. We are being willed towards fruitless endeavours by Artificial Intelligence and therefore excluded ourselves from creating a meaningful future for ourselves.

Once a pound a time these choices used to bring meaning (or not) to our life – and were the cornerstone of existentialism.

Rather than offloading the responsibility onto society or religion, each individual is solely responsible for making their life meaningful and living it authentically.

The question is are we really exercising choice or are our choices now being manipulated by malevolent Algorithms.

Existentialist philosophers teach us that we alone are responsible for creating a meaningful life in an absurd and unfair world, but is this Philosophy no longer true.

The meaning of our being must be tied up with time and our time is the revolution of technology which we accept blindly without any scrutiny or laws.

Mass culture creates a loss of individual significance, instead of engaging in authentic thought by forming our own opinions, most of us passively adopt the opinions constructed by the news.

The Truth is we have no other purpose than the one we set ourselves; no other destiny than the one we forge. Yet many of us remain in denial of our responsibilities, (No doubt this thought may seem harsh to someone who has not made a success out of his life.) but on the other hand I hope that it helps to understand that reality alone counts, and that dreams, expectations and hopes only serve to define a man as a broken dream, aborted hopes and futile expectations; in other words, they define him negatively, not positively.

As with capitalism, political democracy has hardly been experiencing a golden age of informed citizen participation and public service-minded leadership in recent years. The economic reality of extreme inequality and personal greed translates into increased corruption and cynicism in the political sphere, and that undermines effective self-government.

The United States is an extreme example, with money-drenched campaigns and abysmally low voter turnouts – especially among the poor, the young, and the dispossessed.

As the crisis deepens, however, people will return to the political realm, and it is an open question as to whether the system can respond with democratic and humane solutions. Those who greatly benefit from the status quo will likely battle against progressive change as if their lives depended on it. It could just as easily degenerate into propaganda, militarism, and tyranny. Everything rides on the outcome.

All fascist movements invariably played upon racism and chauvinism of one form or another, depending on the nation, to gee up support.  It ranks among the ugliest and most shameful developments in history, and we see it re-emerging as the crisis deepens, even in nations where the scourge of fascism made that notion unthinkable for generations.

A strong commitment to reinvigorating democratic institutions, ending militarism, and guaranteeing all people a secure standard of living as the bulwark against fascism and the only way for humanity to proceed.

To end poverty would be a good place to begin. It was once commonly believed and still is by many, that great leaders were born, not made, by Twitter, Facebook or the internet.

What we consider the freedom of modern-day life is under attack from everyAfficher l'image d'origine technology that is alienate you from some part of your life.

That is its job.Afficher l'image d'origine

Your job is to notice. First notice the difference. And then, every                                        time, choose.

Artificial intelligence are for the moment relatively benign.

The advent of big data and artificial intelligence is creating billions in value for business.  What matters most, however, at least right now, is that we begin building a pathway for human and robot relationships.

It is time we created an independent, totally transparent World Institute to vet all technology that encroaches on our freedoms and values.

Man is not a purely physical system; our thinking, feeling and willing activities do not originate in our physical parts. So it will be impossible to introduce real human mentality into machines, and studying and developing machines will never reveal our real essence; on the contrary, they deviate our attention from it.
