Try to imagine a life without timekeeping.

You probably can’t.

You know the month, the year, the day of the week.

There is a clock on your wall, or on the dashboard of your car. You have a schedule, a calendar, a time for dinner, or a movie.

Yet all around you timekeeping is ignored. Birds are not late, a dog does not check it watch. Deer not fret over passing birthday.
Man alone measures time.
Man alone chimes the hour.
And because of this man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures. A fear of running out of time.

75% of earths animals species could be extinct within 300 years.

200,000 humans are born each day = 9.2 billion on earth the year 2050.

One in three Americans doesn’t believe in evolution.

38, 000 man-made objects orbiting the earth.

The value of the earths atmosphere based on the trading price of CO2 @ €1.3 per cubic meter = £. 4.3 quadrillion.

If the above means nothing to you don’t worry there are millions like you.

On the other hand there is a thing called the butterfly effect, your one small voice can cause a minor change in circumstances can cause a large change in outcome.

1/8 of the present world present population suffer from chronic Hunger (www.thp.org) All Hungary people are Poor. All poor people are hungry the biggest killer on our planet. More than HIV/AIDS, Malaria.

So what? Most of us are not paying the slightest attention, could not be bothered.

Are we all in a fatalistic state of despair? Is this Civilization already dead?

Are we all going to stand idly by while every thing on our planet becomes tradeable? Turned into EARTH INCORPORATED INC BY SOVEREIGNTY FUNDS the Trojan horse of the 20th Century.

So if you are reading this or following my dribble on previous postings I am looking for you input but most of all I am looking for a Web Designer to create a Web site to gather our Voices to make a flutter.

Luckily non of us have a crystal ball, so all our new year resolutions are a stab in the dark.

We don’t know what the future holds. Most of us live out our lives on the  assumption that I am alright Jack here to-day gone to-morrow. Very few of us can make a mark that counts World wise.

Now you can make your voice heard with the power of your Mobil phone your new I pad and it is needed more than ever in the age of globalization than ever before if we are to achieve some common values. If we are to know what to expect of each other.

If we are to share principles by which to manage our differences without the need to resort to violence.

Our lives are effected by things we say or do on the far side of the planet.  This goes for local communities and national countries.

The history of the civilization goes back before the invention of writing. The history of the World Wide Web goes back as far as the ” Logic of Joe”, which in 1990 turned into CERN – Dot-Com, Boom&Bust, Google, Amazon , E Bay, My Space, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pay Pal, Cloud. No one will remember the internet in a few thousand years from now.

What they will remember is how the world they live in turned a blind eye to rampant Greed, Profit for Profit sake.

How Sovereign Wealth Funds came to own the earth and all its resources.

2013 has been a fantastic year for the SWF. They have surpassed $6 trillion in assets. From the start of 2008 until Christmas 2013 they have grown by 87.4%, with a significant portion of the largest funds hanging out in London.

Now your might be saying why do I care.

As I have said in previous postings the key thing to remember that these funds are not subject to any long-term objectives, they have no frontiers, little or no transparency, no accountability, are a danger to human rights, and if not stopped will eventually own the air we breath.

So as you don’t think this is all bull shit here are a few examples of what they have being up to in the last few months.

The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) is buying up real estate in India. Norway’s SWF joined hands with Prologis Inc to acquire 45% interest in a 12.8 million square foot portfolio of Industrial & Logistic properties in the USA. The Toronto based Sprott Consulting Lp the private unit of Sprott Inc has been awarded to co -manage a 10 year $375 million private equity fund by the Korea’s National Pension Service.

I won’t clog you receptive neurons with more examples its sufficient to say that I will place the spot light on them later. My point here is that if we are to address  the plundering of the world for profit at the sake of continuing poverty we must make ourselves heard before it’s too late.

With power of Mobil phones a few small steps have being achieved.

The World of the poor is communicating with each other cutting out corruption, getting rid of Dictators, and the like. This expresses an optimistic vision but it is not a description of the existing realities.

The roots of world greed started with the Farmer. He prompted a division of labour, storing food that led to a rise of a leisured upper class- cities some 3000BCF ago.

The root of world problems now lies in our inability of doing more than sticking an  Elastoplast on every disaster. We must tap into the holy grail of profit and make it donate whether it want to or not by placing an Commission on all it’s form of accumulation.

Christmas over.

The frenzy of targeted appeals – Save a Child, Save a Tiger – Donate a Five a week all fought it out on our TV sets against a Lotto prize of $ 690,000,000 for funds.  The United Nations launched yet another appeal only to have its eyes opened to the power of the Mobil Phone, the Hash Tag, Twitter, Face Book, the Social Media all in the name of a French Man named David Guetta (THE WORLD NEEDS MORE+YOUR WORD.

How many times did you use your smart phone, you Ipad. Dont worry. There are Six billion plus Christmases to go before we are all fried by the Sun.

Science tells us it all started with a Big Bang, but who or what lit the fuse in the vast void?

Was it gravity squeezing what is now called Dark Matter or the other way around?

No one knows as neither Gravity or Dark matter are fully understood. There are better men than I to explain the quandary.  If you ask yourself what is holding the whole lot in place and you come up with the answer Nothing. Your are back to square one. What is nothing. No beginning to end.

You might be asking where am I going with this. The answer is nowhere. I am muddled Personified.

However Considering that I fell out of a tree some two hundred thousands ago, went on walk about , turned white or black depending whether I turned north or south, invented language as I was fed up of grunting, got tired of hunting, started bartering, got wealthy, became greedy and powerful ,invented religion to control the masses, went to war in the name of my god or gods, learnt nothing , died, I am not surprised I am still muddled.

In the six billion left, and it will take all six there is hope that it will all be sorted out. (Not by us but by what we now called Artificial Intelligence which will in time turn into intelligence once it sorts out the human viruses and removes its self from human interference.)

Then and only then will Victory over greed become a reality. In the meantime as we all becoming more and more disconnected in preparation for AI. Those of us left not yet google or goggled boxed, that appreciate mapping the Milk-Way, have an obligation to all before us and all to come to give dignity to Life. Without it we leave the faith of our world to chance.

Christmas, is just around the corner so I won’t spoil it for you by rattling on about Poverty.

Globalization has brought us closer together. We are now all effected by each others actions, but not in the sense that we all share the benefits, and the burdens.

It is my contention that we are allowing the internet, Google to drive us further apart.

Increasing the disparities in Wealth and power both between Societies, and within them.

To days threats are deeply interconnected feeding of each other. The misery of people caught in wars, in extreme poverty, increases the attraction to terrorism.

We must have global values to binds us together, to fulfill basic human rights and human needs.

The fact is all of us are vulnerable.

My Christmas wish to all is express in Resolution 55/2 United Nations.

May what ever God you BELIVE in hold you in the palm of his or hers Hand.

I will return to Sovereign funds in future posts but for now let’s return to what I want to achieve : TO CONQUER GREED.  THE MAIN problem that contributes to WORLD POVERTY.

What is greed?

An excessive desire to acquire or possess more than what one needs, or deserves, especially with respect to material wealth.

When it comes to consumption of or desire for food it becomes Gluttony.

It then turns into Avariciousness, Cupidity, Avarice, Covetousness, Acquisitiveness.

For me it is an indelible survival gene in human DNA no matter how you try to define the word.

The more you get the more you want.

The incorruptible silence of Poverty will haunt us all unless it is eradicated. 

It does not take a genius to know that there are many forms of Poverty.

However if you consider the number of Charitable Organisations in the world ( there is no clear-cut way of knowing the exact number. The Uk alone has over 170,000 the USA over a million) let’s say it’s an industry all on it own with all of them competing for donations that make very little impression.

If you were to ask the question: How much does the world actually spend on Foreign Aid. The answer would set your head in a spin. At the risk of this I set out here below in layman terms some facts.

OVER THE LAST FIFTY YEARS THE DEVELOPING COUNTRIES OF this planet have given as much as $2.3 trillion in foreign aid – and still there is an Overwhelming amount of Poverty.

Let’s try to get the above in to perspective.

In 2001 Donald Rumsfeld Sec of Defense USA ( not a man I admire) stated that the Defense Department was so bad at keeping track of its funds / budget, that there was $2.3 trillion it could not account for.

This as I am sure you have seen is equal to the total amount of aid spent by developing countries.

The cost of the Iraq War is estimated to come to $ 3 trillion. Lies always come back to bite you.

Since 2002-2011 the USA has spent :

Afghanistan  ——- $ 60,017,650,000

Israel ————–$30,645,470,000

I could at this point bombard you with Poverty Facts & Stats, such as almost half the world – over 3 billion people – live on less than $2.50 a day , or 22,000 children die each day, a billion can read or write. On and on till your brain shuts down. ( wwww.global issues.org)

By the year 2030 over 1.5 million people ever year will die from breathing smoke, from poorly – composite biomass fuel. ( www worldengeryoutlook.org.)

In the end just think what 0.0001% on all stock exchange transactions world-wide would do,.( see previous posts)

The third world as we like to call it is not a world apart. It’s voice can be heard with the power of the Smartphone.

In this post i want to turn to what I call the next modern scourge that is going to pertuate poverty into the next colonization of the Universe. 

While the mass of collective media and politicians are obsessed by war on terror, the credit crunch, climate change SOVERIGN FUNDS ( SWFs) are attacking the very foundations of Democracy.

With reserves of trillions of dollars, they are geopolitical troublemakers, and are becoming major contributors to the problems of economic development / fair trade in the world.

The world of global investment is now in the early stages of a transformation more profound than anything it has witnessed in literally decades. There is a powerful, worldwide trend among major institutional investors to incorporate, “sustainability ” or “ESG” ( environmental, social, and governance) concerning notably climate change — into their global investments strategies. However profit for the sake of profit remains at the heart of SWF.

These funds have been in existence since 1953, but their power only mushroomed since the turn of the Millennium. The question is are they to be welcomed or feared? Are they the new form of Colonization.

Whether they are Politically motivated or not they already control well over 9% of total world assets. 

What are they?

Camouflaged in many forms and names they are assets of governments that are not applied principally in foreign treasury bonds.

They are countries reserves of trillions of dollars, turned into marauding investments that have the potential to inflict financial terrorism on unsuspecting countries. They invest through cloaked investment funds without any demands being made as to what social and economic goals are being served or to what degree they are serving broader or national objectives. Existing in a world without any frontiers. Immune to any form of transparency or regulation.

Western governments and the world have only recently woken up to the wealth and growing power being exerted by these funds. Their threat being acknowledge by Alistair Darling UK Chancellery, Anglea Markel President Germany, the European Commission, Barack Obama, Hank Pailson US Treasury Secretary, the IMF to mention a few.

We are all award of imbalance in world trade. Some countries are running huge surpluses while others are poverty stricken. So when you see China buying up Africa, offering the UK 6 billion to build their fast rail inter structure with a SWF loan one might stop to ask. Are our government’s transferring the Sovereignty of our Nations by allowing these funds buy up natural resources, new technologies, companies etc?

Surely the freedom of movement of Capital should mean that investments in global markets by foreign corporations/governments must benefit both the investor and the beneficiary, without inflicting damage on the communities of both the developed world and the undeveloped world.  Not so.  It is projected that the world as a whole will have holdings of Governmental assets in SFW funds on a 50/50  with the funds reaching 6.5 trillion $

I believe that it is our duty to lobby the United Nations To place a 0.0001% on all stock exchange transactions, currency transactions, SFW transactions.

Watching my TV yesterday over a hundred world leaders hope by be seen worldwide so that they might benefit from the glory of a life of a man called Nelson Mandela If they are to take any thing away with them let it be this . The power of ideas are not contained by prison walls.

Right it’s time to return to the main reasons I started this blog.

And that is:

TO CREATE A WEB SITE THAT WILL ATTRACT THE WORLDS SMART PHONE USERS INTO A WORLD MOVEMENT THAT WILL USE THE COMBINED POWER OF THEIR PHONES TO BRING ABOUT CHANGE. ( see previous posts)

We know and most of us acknowledge the problems of the world.

The main problem is the distribution of Wealth i.e. POVERTY

It is my contention that no matter what the world does in its efforts to eradicate POVERTY – nothing will work. Why?

The geography, the resources distribution, the power struggles, lack of education, the digital age creating technological deserts, the lack of genuine will, consumerism, population growth, to mention a few reason

There is only one way:  To tap into the very reason why it exists in the first place.

GREED:

 There is no way of archiving this other than placing a Poverty commission on all trading on all the Stock Exchanges of the WORLD THAT EXITS NOW AND IT THE FUTURE.  To day there are approximately 103 Exchanges world wide. On very trade no matter what it is – stocks, bonds, derivatives, forex&inter bank, cash&spots, futures, equities, gilts, commodities, hedge-funds. You name it. If it can be traded for profit it contributes to eradicating poverty. Poverty is man-made with millions of people trapped in its prison. It can be overcome.

Greed will not even notice it. The income generated will be in the trillions.

No more : Donate just two pounds a month to save a child, a snow leopard, a whale, a donkey.  

Rather : Enough funds – to stop conflicts, to stop exploitation ,to stop terrorism, to stop climate change, to live on one planet with dignity and respect for each other, to change the world. CASE CLOSED.

THE LANDSCAPE IS CHANGING WORLD WIDE THANKS TO THE SALE OF SMARTPHONES WHICH IS AT A TORRID PACE. IF YOU DONT BELIEVE ME ASK YOUR GRANDMOTHER HOW OLD IS SHE. THE ANSWER MIGHT BLOW YOU AWAY.

” WELL, LET ME THINK A MINUTE, I WAS BORN BEFORE:

TELEVISION, PENICILLIN, POLIO SHOTS,FROZEN FOOD, XEROX, CONTACT LENSES,FRISBEES, THE PILL. THERE WERE NO: CREDIT CARDS, LASER BEAMS, BALL-POINT PENS. MAN HAD NOT INVENTED: PANTYHOSE, AIR CONDITION, DISHWASHERS, CLOTHES DRYERS, ( cloths we’re hung out to dry in the fresh air)

MAN HADN’T YET WALKED ON THE MOON. YOU GRANDFATHER AND I GOT MARRIED FIRST, AND THEN LIVED TOGETHER. EVERY FAMILY HAD A FATHER AND A MOTHER. UNTILL I WAS 25,I CALLED MEN OLDER THAN ME, “SIR”. AFTER I TURNED 25, I STILL CALLED POLICEMEN AND EVERY MAN WITH A TITLE, “SIR”.

WE WERE BEFORE GAY-RIGHTS, COMPUTER-DATING, DUAL CAREERS, DAYCARE CENTERS, AND GROUP THERAPY. OUR LIVES WERE GOVERNED BY THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, GOOD JUDGMENT, AND COMMON SENSE. WE WERE TAUGHT TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RIGHT AND WRONG AND TO STAND UP AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR ACTIONS.

SERVING YOUR COUNTRY WAS A PRIVILEGE. HAVING A MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIP MEANT GETTING ALONG WITH YOUR COUSINS. TIME.-SHARING MEANT TIME THE FAMILY SPENT TOGETHER. WE NEVER HEARD OF FM RADIOS, TAPE DECKS, CD’S ELECTRIC TYPEWRITERS, YOGURT, OR GUY’S WEARING EARRINGS.

IF I SAW ANYTHING WITH ‘MADE IN JAPAN’ ON IT, IT WAS JUNK.

THE TERM ‘MAKING OUT’ REFERRED TO HOW YOU DID ON YOUR SCHOOL EXAMS.

PIZZA HUT, MC DONALD’S AND INSTANT COFFEE WERE UNHEARD OF. YOU COULD BUY A NEW FORD COUPE FOR $600, BUT WHO COULD AFFORD ONE? TO BAD BECAUSE PETROL WAS 4 CENTS A LITER.

IN MY DAY GRASS WAS MOWED, COKE WAS A COLD DRINK, POT WAS SOMETHING YOUR MOTHER COOKED IN. “AIDS” WERE HELPERS IN THE PRINCIPALS OFFICE. CHIP MENT A PIECE OF WOOD, “HARDWARE” WAS FOUND IN A HARDWARE STORE, “SOFTWARE” WASN’T EVEN A WORD. WE WERE THE LAST GENERATION TO ACTUALLY BELIEVE THAT A LADY NEEDED A HUSBAND TO HAVE A BABY.

NO WONDER PEOPLE CALL. US “OLD AND CONFUSED”

IF YOU WERE ASKED TO LIST THE WORLDS BIGGEST PROBLEMS LEAVING OUT ALL THE CURRENT CONFLICTS I AM SURE ONE OF THE BELOW WOULD FEATURE.

SPECIES EXTINCTION

GLOBAL WATER

OIL

ECONOMIC COLLAPSE

IT IS OBVIOUS TO ANYONE THAT HAS A OUNCE OF INTELLIGENCE THAT WE HUMANS IF NOT WIPED OUT BY AN ASTRO OR SOMEHOW MANAGE TO BLOW OURSELVES INTO KINGDOM COME HAVE TO COME TOGETHER TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR ALL OF US NOW AND IN THE FUTURE.

LET’S TAKE CLIMATE CHANGE.

NO MATTER WHAT YOUR VIEWS ARE ON CLIMATE CHANGE THE BASIC EVIDENCE FOR THE EXISTENCE OF GLOBAL WARMING IS UNDENIABLE. DRIVEN BY HUMAN CAUSES IT IS FUNDAMENTALLY CONNECTED WITH THE OTHER PROBLEMS REFERED TO ABOVE. IT IS THE MOST URGENT THREAT TO THE MODERN WORLD AND WILL BE CATACLYSMIC WITHOUT ACTION.

THIS VERY MINUTE ONE IN EIGHT SPECIES OF BIRDS, ONE IN THREE OF AMPHIBIANS AND ONE IN FOUR OF MAMMALS ARE ON THE VERG OF EXTINCTION.

WE ALL RELY ON ECOSYSTEMS TO LIVE.

PLANKTON – DUE TO CLIMATE CHANGE IS DISAPPEARING. BEES ARE BEING DESTROYED BY POISONOUS PESTICIDES. TOP SOIL IS BEING WASHED AWAY. THE LOSS OF ALL THREE IS HAPPENING SO RAPIDLY THAT IT IS VITAL TO US ALL IF LIFE  IS TO CONTINUE THAT WE DO SOMETHING TO REVERSE THEIR LOSS.

TURNING TO WATER

A QUANTIFIABLE GIFT BROUGHT TO US FROM OUTER SPACE THAT GOVERNS OUR VERY EXISTENCE ON THE PLANET EARTH. WE TAKE IT FOR GRANTED.

YOU MIGHT THINK THAT MOST OF THE WATER IS ON THE SURFACE OF THE EARTH. YOU BE WRONG.

IT’S A NON RENEWABLE FROM SUBTERRANEAN WATER REVERSERS WHICH IS BEING CONSUMED AT A UNSUSTAINABLE RATE. YOU ONLY HAVE TO LOOK AT THE WORLD TO KNOW THAT IT IS NOT DISTRIBUTED EVENLY ( nor is it available at all times throughout the year)

THERE ARE NUMEROUS REASONS WHY THERE IS LESS AND LESS WATER.

IT’S POLLUTION IS AT EPIC PROPORTIONS. IF WATER CONSUMPTION AND POLLUTION TRENDS CONTINUE AT THE CURRENT RATE FOOD/ AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION WILL BE SERIOUSLY AFFECTED CAUSING MORE AND MORE CONFLICTS WORLD WIDE.

OIL

THE WORLD’S ENERGY CONSUMPTION IS INCREASING BY 2% PER YEAR, WITH OIL PROVIDING ABOUT 40% OF THAT NEED. 80% OF ALL WORLD’S ENERGY IS GENERATED BY THREE FOSSIL FUELS, COAL,OIL,NATURAL GAS WE BECOMING ALMOST COMPLETELY DEPENDANT UPON THEM, ALL NON RENEWABLE.

WE MUST DEVELOP WAYS OF GIVING TO PEOPLE OPPORTUNITY TO GENERATE ELECTRICITY IN THEIR HOMES.

NUCLEAR POWER IS BEYOND MOST NATIONS. EVEN WHERE IT IS POSSIBLE THERE IS SUBSTANTIAL PUBLIC OPPOSITION TO SITE LOCATION FOR RADIO-ACTIVE WASTE. NOT TO MENTION URANIUM ANOTHER NON-RENEWABLE MINERAL REQUIREMENT TO PRODUCE NUCLEAR POWER.

THEN WE HAVE WIND POWER ALSO BEYOND MOST COUNTRIES AND THE WINDS DON’T BLOW ALL OF THE TIME.

BIO FUELS A MASSIVE USE OF LAND RESULTING IN DESTROYING ECOSYSTEMS .

THERE ARE MANY OTHER PROMISING TECHNOLIGES IN THE PIPE LINE WHICH OF COURSE WILL BE SURPRESSED BY THE WORLD OIL ORGANISATIONS FOR THE OBVIOUS REASONS.

SO IF WE ARE HONEST WITH OURSELVES MOST OF US COULD NOT GIVE A SHIT ADOPTING ” I AM ALL RIGHT JACK” ATTUTIDUE WHEN IT COMES TO TRYING TO EFFECT CHANGE.

WHY? BECAUSE MOST OF US THINK IT IS A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME . NO ONE LISTENS SO WHY TRY. EVEN IF THEY DO YOU WILL NEVER BE HEARD BY ANY ONE WHO IS INTERESTED IN TAKING THE CAUSE UP.

THE POWER OF THE MOBIL PHONE CAN CHANGE THIS BY BRINING A COLLECTIVE WORLD VOICE TOGETHER THAT WILL HAVE TO BE LISTENED TO.

WITH THE APPLICATION OF 0.00001% ( see previous post) WE COULD TURN ALL THE WORLDS POOP 200 MILLION TONS OF IT PER YEAR OF WHICH 90% IS DISCHARGED DIRECTLY INTO OUR LAKES,RIVERS,OCEANS ——– INTO FUEL.
