( Six minute read)

Never before has our society been so advanced yet so vulnerable to our evolution with technology amongst the most magnificent yet terrifying creations our world has ever encountered.

As technology grows, so do we grow around it and adapt to its new forms and capabilities.

It allows us to understand complexities that seemed insurmountable and to perform tasks that range from mundane to monumental. Yet while this great power continues to thrive and expand in our environment, what we once were as a species seems to be crumbling beneath technology’s colossal-sized foot.

The question however is:                                      Is Technology saving the world … or killing it?

Technology from the 18th century and onward has harmed the planet primarily through two factors: depleting natural resources and polluting them.

Technology makes us better at analysing data, improving workflows, streamlining supply chains, identifying problems faster, improving production processes, and more.  According to Forbes, IoT technology will be incorporated into 95% of new product designs by 2050. It is expected that everything will be connected to the internet and the cloud by 2050.

Let’s be honest, but for most people, technology isn’t something we think twice about.

Depending on the individual, technology can mean the difference between depression and laughter, solitude and social interaction, or even between life and death.

It has penetrated all aspects of daily life and is now needed more than ever to preserve what is left of life, as it is reducing

our ability to engage in person, turning the world into a begging pawn shop, from save almost everything, to saving yourself.

All this idealistic representation of fake lives around us is causing a diminish in many people’s confidence and self worth.

This is a catastrophic aspect of social media, which people still refuse to accept its presence and impact because we’re still in the

transition phase of full technological development.

So we are shuffled, sending messages between the two worlds and entertain with thousands of photos and videos daily.

We’re placing ourselves in a virtual world made of supermodels, vacations and holidays, and shredded bodies that are on the verge

of an atmospheric collapse and yet, electric replacement haven’t framed a total positive future.

It is undeniable that technology has made life easier but this is also the technology that goes beyond our ethical and legal values

and social standards worldwide.

Even though we use technology, we do not know about its disadvantages.

What does technology do to our lives?

It’s hard to be optimistic sometimes, we know. Politics is a mess, the environment’s in trouble and half the world appears to be

either melting or actually on fire. But there are reasons to be cheerful, because technology is working to defeat each and every

horseman of the apocalypse.

Here’s how technology will save the world…

Technology continues to find new ways to help us live longer, better lives. There is no person we can’t reach within a phone call.

Gene editing with molecular ‘scicssors’ has the potential to remove inherited diseases and battle cancers; artificial

pancreases (opens in new tab) may transform the lives of people with diabetes; and ‘big data’ analysis may help unlock the cures

for conditions that currently ruin or end many people’s lives. We’re starting to see wearable devices save people’s lives by

warning them of conditions they didn’t know they had.

It is used in hospitals and our judicial systems to identify people’s mistakes.

While technology can have positive effects, it never stops wars and we’ve got thousands of years of history demonstrating that.

A universe controlled by robots doesn’t seem so far off… in the meantime the weapon we have to create a world of sustainability is

the Smart phone.

If we want to, it is possible to target profit for profit sake, BY IN ACTING SMARTPHONES PRESSURE CAMPAIGNES.

You may be certain that a million messages, to any individual, businesses, organisation, that is blocking their ability to function

will not go unnoticed.

( SIX MINUTE READ. )

Your time is now,  to step up to the plate and start taking responsibility for the biggest growth opportunity in human history.

Unfortunately its starts with facing global challenges that are causing and will continue to cause our globally societies to change  radically.

You don’t have be told that we are on track to a catastrophic 2.7c of global warming.

You don’t have to be told that the population of the world  will be near 10 billion of us by 2050.

You don’t have to be told that as a result the demand for freshwater and food will increase.

You don’t have to be told that it is going to take a substantial portion of the worlds annual GDP to convert to a green sustainable economic system.

You don’t have to be told that the transition will not be orderly while we have I am all right Jack attuites, with profit seeking algorithms, while we have privileged positions and assets harvesting profits by using the current recession fever for overly aggressive job cuts, while we have education at a premium, while we have immigration and countries turn  inwards.

You don’t have to be told that the Ukraine Russian war is showing the urgency to develop new energy solutions.

You don’t have to be told that people world wide must rally to collaboratively research and share Covid -19 vaccines.

You don’t have to be told that companies must stop paying out excessive dividends and share paybacks.

You don’t have to be told that there is a boom of innovations in all technologies, that it must be turned into an interdisciplinary revolution.

You don’t have to be told that old industries and jobs will disappear.

You don’t have to be told that there will be more floods, wild fires, droughts, and conflict are on the horizons.

You don’t have to be told that 80% of world wide agricultural land is using 10% of available freshwater.

You don’t have to be told that we are looking at the disappearance of our polar caps , glaciers,  forests, rivers.

You don’t have to be told that by 2025 over half the world’s population will live in water- stressed areas with rising oceans.

You don’t have to be told that that we needs new materials to build with. Steel responsible for 11% of yours days carbon emissions, concerts 8% plastics 4%

You don’t have to be told that if we do nothing you will see the biggest human migration in world history.  As environmental, political and economic refugee grow to numbers never witnessed in the World.

You don’t have to be told that the Biodiversity of the world is under treat of extinction.

You don’t have to be told that you will most likely be living through these changes.

You don’t have to be told that solutions will not be found in impact start-up but by becoming leaders in business and government.

You don’t have to be told that sooner that later the world will rally to address all of the above.

YOU DO HAVE TO BE TOLD THAT THE NEXT THIRTY YEARS COULD BE TRAGIC AND TUMULTUOUS.

Your response to the megatrends will shape what is meant for human to survive.

Addressing the 60 billion metric tons of greenhouse gases we emit every year, through point – of source will be a multitrillion opportunity and more.

Don’t be distracted.

Every generation has the ability to effect changes, your generation must do so, because the age of technology combined by the current Capitalists Systems will and is  turning almost ever thing in to a product to trade.

There is no reality in the metaverse a “computer generated universe. ”

You have a weapon called the smartphone which ironically is both the cause and the solutions to effect change.

If you want a living world now is the time to use this power, to attack the unsustainable consumerism’s of profit for profit sake.

Bombard their operations with millions of messages to block their activities.

THIS IS ONE LOUD VOICE THAT CANNOT NOT BE ARESSTED.

THE BEADY EYE SAY’S. 1.5 CELSIUS IS NOT AN OBJECTIVE BUT A LIMIT.

( Four minute read)

We are 1.1 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels now.

1.5 degrees C is not a cliff; civilization does not automatically expire if temperatures exceed that threshold.

Humanity has nearly all the knowledge and tools needed to limit temperature rise to 1.5 degrees C.

The challenges are not primarily technological; they are political and economic.

What are these challenges?

World economy, which currently relies on fossil fuels for 80% of its energy, from collapsing in the process, the demand for these fuels must be radically reduced.

A major reason the world’s forests are felled at such catastrophic rates is to grow more food products, especially beef, soy, and palm oil.

Climate greenwashing that is, rhetorical promises by governments, corporations, or banks that claim to solve the crisis but may or may not measure up in practice.

The concept of “net zero emissions” demands special attention.

“Net zero”  is not necessarily a dodge, but offsets have a spotty record of achievement.

Many net-zero commitments by governments and businesses cite 2050 as the year when net zero will be reached. Indeed, roughly 80% of the world economy is now covered by commitments of net zero by 2050.

However “Net zero ”at the moment means giving a country or company that reduce emissions ( not to absolute zero;) rather, some emissions will continue, but they will be “offset” by countervailing measures that extract carbon from the atmosphere so the net result is zero emissions.

Promising that emissions will end by 2050 is easy for today’s politicians and corporate leaders, but that goal is only reachable if actual emissions fall by half in the next decade. Climate delay is just as lethal, precisely because 40 years of failing to act has left zero time for further delay.

2050 is far enough off that bold claims might seem possible, but those claims are only credible if they include real (i.e., non-offsets), substantial emissions reductions during the next 10 years, so whether such commitments carry an action plan that credibly cuts emissions in half by 2030 we will have to wait and see.

Why is that humanity waited so long to start the job.

No one wants to pay or to carry the can.

Money is at the heart of the climate emergency and its solutions.

At the moment, the world’s governments provide roughly $5.9 trillion a year in subsidies for fossil fuels, according to the International Monetary Fund. Meanwhile, the vast majority of governments’ stimulus spending to revive Covid-battered economies has reinforced the fossil fuel status quo rather than boosted the zero-carbon activities needed for a climate-safe future.

The challenge going forward is to halt spending that harms the climate and redirect spending to actions that help it.

This requires leaving most of fossil fuel reserves in the ground. But those reserves were (and still are) counted as wealth in the stock holdings of investors; leaving them unburned would render trillions of dollars of invested wealth worthless.

The main reason we waited so long is that some very rich and powerful economic and political interests knew climate action would interfere with their profits and privilege.

Fossil fuel companies now face dozens of lawsuits from governments and civil society groups demanding compensation for the climate damages the companies’ lying helped cause.

As the extreme weather in recent years has shown, climate impacts are punishing even after “only” 1.1 degrees C of temperature rise. This is especially so for the roughly two billion people who live in the (usually poorer) countries most vulnerable to climate change. Temperatures and impacts are bound to increase in the years ahead, if only because humanity can’t halt emissions overnight. Hence, the need for what climate experts call “adaptation”: actions to reduce one’s vulnerability to the impacts of climate change. Adaptation has never gotten the attention mitigation gets, perhaps because it was assumed, wrongly, that the rich could adapt relatively easily to rising temperatures

Now that smart money is abandoning fossil fuels, two big questions are coming into focus: How much of the rest of the market will follow the same course? And will enough of the money that’s leaving fossil fuels now flow to the technologies and practices needed to defuse the climate emergency?

The key is what governments will do to encourage private banks and investors to stop funding climate destruction and instead finance climate solutions.

Finally:  In the end we will all pay.

So here is a suggestion.

Rather than begging;

Why not create a perpetual World Aid Fund, funded by all of us, which is both transparent and fair and above corruption.

How could this be achieved:

Instead of private bankers, central banks, country governments etc,  making financial promises they underwrite the issue and interest returns on  (Non Tradable)  GREEN BONDS that are eligible to enter a Lotto style monthly draw.

These Bonds could be purchased on line from 5 euros (with no interest) to 500 euros and up paying x% amount of interest.

In the meantime we have the technology to place 0.05% on all economic activities that are for Profit sake only.  Example Profit Seeking Algorithms, Currency transactions over $50,000 , Sovereign Wealth Funds Acquisition, Gambling, etc.

Who would Control the Distribute these funds:

The United Nations out side any Veto influence.

What would the funds to use for.  Sustainability Projects. Green energy transformation, Reduction of inequality.

Who would monitor there effects:  The Earth.

( Ten minute read)

Technology is here to stay and we are supposedly on an unstoppable path towards driverless vehicles, fully automated internet-connected “smart homes”, and godlike artificial intelligence, when if fact we are on a path to the oblivion of our private lives.

As society is moving away from social interactions we take these technologies for granted and lose sight of reality.

So when are we going to wake up to the the pitfalls of personalized technologies that are targeting our lives, and what it is all ready doing, to what is left of what are supposed to be democratic societies.

It is difficult to manage the awesome power that is embedded in today’s technology however should we just sit back and let it exploited us with unregulated profit seeking algorithms and unauthorised data collection.

Its never to late to start asking questions.

We are so used to hearing that technological progress is smooth and inevitable these days, that it just seems like common sense.

However this idea may not be unrelated to the fact that the people who promote personalized technology are mainly the people with a large financial interest in the adoption of new technology -Facebook-Twitter-Google-Apple- LinkedIn – Instagram – Snapchat – Pinterest – Reddit and the rest.

Today, a plethora of personalization software tools, including AI and machine learning algorithms that are destroying individualism.

Just as our past futures need not be dead to us, our present future, with our reliance on devices, are becoming habitual, and if  not already could be compulsory.

There’s is no app for that.

On a social level, the two dimensional world of the flat screen does not support the development of communication.

It’s just sad that people really don’t even have to use their brains anymore. If you don’t use it, you lose it.

It is estimated that as much as 93% of communication is non-verbal, leaving only 7% to the words themselves.

( Not much less alarming, and far closer, is the moment when “deep fakes” – computer-generated pictures and video – become indistinguishable from the real thing.) People who buy into this garbage is being taken for such a ride every month.

The vast majority of people were simply never given the choice to accept the trade-off between personalized technology for profit or technology for the common good. For example tracking due the Covid Pandemic against tracking for profits.

Not convinced?

It is now increasingly clear that many, if we had understood what was at risk, would have never agreed to tracking Apps.

For example, back in 2018, Amazon filed a patent that would allow its Echo device to detect when someone is ill from the change in their voice, nasal tones, and stuffed nose. When synced with Amazon’s website personalization engine, this is invaluable information to make personalized recommendations for cold medicine, recipes, etc.  It allow them to achieve 1:1 personalization like never before.

Mobile devices themselves are truly turning people into mindless zombies and simpletons with personalized technology turning into the enemy. Yet most people are too blind to see it.  89% of businesses are investing in personalization.

I.E.  Target the right person, at the right time, with the right offer. Analysing every aspect of the customer journey, companies can incorporate real-time dynamic pop-ups.

Here’s a fraction of the stats showing the power and importance of personalization:

80% of consumers are more likely to purchase from a brand that provides personalized experiences.

The idea of greater convergence and connectivity between personal electronics is correct. One only has to look at the smartphone that trigger customised adverts or programme your phone based on where you are.  A company could tie itself to the Apple ecosystem, using an API to acquire data captured by each user’s Watch device into its own cloud-based system.

———————————-

As society pressures leaders for a more environmentally-friendly agenda the world of 2050 will be unimaginably different in many ways –  other than climate change.

Carbon management solutions will be an integral part of emission reductions.

For that, real-time measurement, abatement, and offset integration will help ensure companies not only talk the talk but also walk the walk and transparently meet their net-zero targets. Setting a target is just the first step; the second is to understand and quantify the real emission baseline into measurable units.  This can only be achieved with massive data collection. and analyzation

———————————–

The amount of information we share shared on social media networks is phenomenal.

A media company is now any company that helps pass information across the globe.  Before mobile technology, you had to search through a dictionary to understand the meaning of a word. Now you can look words up in a dictionary app or quickly search the Internet. Communication has even evolved beyond mobile devices and personal computers. We can now send messages through tablets, voice assistants, smartwatches, and more. That’s right. Your fridge needs a Facebook account. It can e-mail you when your shopping time comes around with what all groceries you need to buy.

So one can see so clearly that society is not going to stop moving away from using technology as our primary communication methods, but here is a word of advice do not rely heavily on technology to live your lives, learn skills.  Your life is yours to control.  Because without them, you will struggle to move on as a society.

It is said that by 2050, “computational machines will have surpassed the processing power of all the living human brains on Earth.

It is said that a AI – a machine that can do everything a human can do – will arrive, they think it’s about 50/50 whether it will be before 2050.

By this time if we dont tackle climate change the cloud will have absorbed the thinking of the many dead brain on Earth.

If we assume that transcendentally brilliant artificial minds won’t be along to save or destroy us, and live according to that outlook, then what is the worst that could happen – we build a better world for nothing?

It is said that AGI will develop. If it does, every other prediction we could make is moot, and this story, and perhaps humanity as we know it, will be forgotten.

With the destruction of genuine human interaction you know, that technology will  happen anyway, so I predict that we will see a lasting cooperation between the human race and the computational machines of the future.

However we are mow just beginning to see the down side to all of this  technology.

Technology has changed how we entertain ourselves, meet each other, and consume all types of media.

We might be walking around with biometric healthcare data chips on your clothes, in a world in which mega scale injections of sulphur dioxide into the stratosphere turn the heavens a milky-white, and a whole generation never sees a clear blue sky, in order to reflect more of the sun’s rays and pause the greenhouse effect. Artificial intelligence brains simply cannot cope with change and unpredictable events such as the climate change will create, whole cities that are abandoned and populations relocated, to avoid the worst effects we can’t prevent. We all need to work together to survive.

Society used to be able to make a long-term plan, now it is driven by data with its chaotic effect on our lives shows no sign of abating, it is at least predictably unpredictable.

We need a cultural change in values, to enable more deliberate decision-making.

Future technology is sure to transform our lives in unbelievable ways, but how among us wants to live a life based on private data collected – by the fridge – the smart TV – your clothes – your mobile devices -whether you looked left or right – how many shits you had a day- face recognition – what emotions you had at looking at an emoji- what your are eating, reading, saying- what twitters you like or don’t,- where you were, where you going – all analysed by an invisible algorithm that has no oversight, or conscious.

Unfortunately, there’s not much we can do with this information and data except hope that people come to realize it needs to be regulated.

The changes in the world over the next 30 years, wont be down to technology nor will they be online, thanks to climate change they will metalize mostly through low-cost smartphones receiving increasingly ubiquitous cellular connections as the world fights for resources that are necessary for life.

Remember when people used to sleep and dream at night?

Now all we do is zone out in front of a computer screen all night. It’s time to unplug from all this craziness and go back to nature.

Nature does not spy on itself , in order to evolve. PRISM -- It's the end of the Internet as we know it

THE BEADY EYE HAS A FEW QUESTIONS FOR YOU. OUR FINITE EARTH CANNOT FULFILL THE RESOURCES – PROFIGATE DREAMS OF SO MANY PEOPLE.

Ten minute read.

THE MAIN QUESTION IS WHERE WILL THE CURVE OF EARTHS TEMPERATURE INFLATIONS TAKE US FROM HERE?

Right now the scientific consensus is that the population of the world will reach a peak some time later this century. The world population is projected to reach 10.4 billion people sometime in the 2080s and remain there until 2100, according to the United Nations Population Division.A 3D illustration of a woman watching a climate change simulation of Earth.

How many people can the earth support?  What is it carrying capacity?

When it comes to carrying capacity, it’s a matter of mode of production, mode of consumption, who has access to what and how.

Not all human activities have to be environmentally costly but the future of the world population is driven by a mixture of survival and reproduction. As a result more and more countries, once they reach a certain stage of socioeconomic cultural development, tend to converge towards about two children [per couple] or fewer.

In 1679, Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, a scientist and inventor of the microscope, predicted that Earth could support 13.4 billion people.

From 1930 to 1974, the Earth‘s population doubled again, in just 44 years.

Everybody knows that environmental changes, such as pollution or disease, and climate change can increase or decrease a habitat’s carrying capacity but there is little consensus in how many Homo sapiens our planet can support.

But is the human population expected to continue growing at this rate?

Is there an upper limit to how many humans our planet can support?

Before the twentieth century no one ever lived through a doubling of the entire human population and the enormity of this and our predicament is now prevenient in climate change.

For instance, natural constraints include food scarcity and inhospitable environments.

If the Earth System gets into the region of chaotic behaviour, we will lose all hope of somehow fixing the problem. The result will be the inflationary economic paradigm itself will be the long term disaster.

If we want to affect how many people planet Earth can support, we will need to decide how many people want Jaguars with four wheels and how many want jaguars with four legs.

————————-

Here is a broad sketch of what is in store and where we’re heading. if we don’t curtail climate change and our unchecked use of fossil fuels.

Where is Earth’s climate headed?

That depends significantly on exactly what our activity is over the next few decades.

For example, the human population can only grow so large and can only have so many carbon-emitting activities; and pollution will eventually degrade the environment. At some point in the future, carbon output will reach a maximum limit.

In the worst cases, the researchers found that Earth’s climate leads to chaos. True, mathematical chaos. In a chaotic system, there is no equilibrium and no repeatable patterns. A chaotic climate would have seasons that change wildly from decade to decade (or even year to year). Above a certain critical threshold temperature for Earth’s atmosphere, a feedback cycle can kick in where a chaotic result would become unavoidable. There are some signs that we may have already passed that tipping point, but it’s not too late to avert climate disaster.

We are now entering a new phase, one driven by human activity. As humans pump more carbon into the atmosphere, we are creating a new Anthropocene era, a period of human-influenced climate systems, something our planet has never experienced before.

We will see mass migration, with one war after another for resources.

Animals can keep giving birth, increasing their numbers, but they reach a limit when they consume all the food in their environment (or their predators get too hungry and consume them). Put another way, climate change impacts might not directly cause humans to go extinct, but it could lead to events that seriously endanger hundreds of millions, if not billions, of lives.

There’s no reason to exaggerate the climate threat. The truth is bad enough, and reason enough to take dramatic action because today, we live in a global, interconnected civilization, so there’s is every reason to believe our species will not survive its collapse.

Despite massive landscapes and endless blue, our planet is limited in its resources and capabilities to support its inhabitants. According to the Global Footprint Network, “Humanity uses the equivalent of 1.5 planets to provide the resources we use and absorb our waste.

It now takes the Earth one year and six months to regenerate what we use in a year.

All over the world we are witnessing the effects of using more resources than the Earth can provide in the form of diminishing forest cover, disappearing coral reefs, collapsing fisheries, biodiversity decline, increasing greenhouse gases, depleting fresh water systems, acidifying oceans, disease, famine, mass migrations, depleting arable land, resource conflicts and wars, just to name some of the more noticeable effects.

So we are left to cope with limited resources or pursue unconventional methods, which can create a disproportionate impact on the poor, and the ones that can are finding that even the furthest and deepest corners of the Earth are being exploited, leaving fewer and fewer resources for future generations.

A sustainable future cannot be achieved without conserving biological diversity – animal and plant species, their habitats and their genes – not only for nature itself, but also for all  people who depend on.

Our moral obligation is to support both ourselves and our planet. it.

Our old solutions – which address only environmental conservation or short-term human gains – are no longer enough.

We need innovative approaches to guide our civilization toward a sustainable future and the only way this can be done  this requires a substantial behavioural modification of the most impactful species on Earth—humans.

I think it is becoming increasingly important for us to be conscious of our consumption. If we can see through products on the shelves, and understand that human labour, sacrifice and resources have gone into anything and everything we consume, we can begin to empathize with and work for the well-being of populations around the world.

Technology is distancing our relationship from global issues, often perceived as too large to concern our own respective lives.

How can we begin this personalization in the midst of a global crisis of endless dimensions and stakeholders?

We can begin by making profit seeking algorithms be transparent. By removing all media advertising that prompts consumption. By focused efforts and productivity within our own communities. By fostering the rights and access to medical care universally.

Finally. Government should enable individuals to see their own capabilities in organizing and protecting the environment, instead of simply reporting on the problems. Media coverage, literature, and written discussion in any capacity should lean towards a definitive—within scientific bounds—attribution of our existing catastrophes to our own actions. We must try to stray from merely stating that a given problem exists, and rather begin our discussions and postulations with the probable causes of that problem.

By getting communities, urban or rural, to visualize and feel the influence of their actions on water, soil, and air would be to enliven a group solely based on protecting and preserving life itself. We must work to re-associate with the resources of the environment that have long been exploited, and communicate across a global spectrum regarding how we have and will succeed in creating a sustainable future existence.

THE BEADY EYE LOOKS AT INFLATION

What is inflation?

One can look or think of it in various ways, as it comes in many forms.

The fact is that inflation is a far more complex phenomenon than one might initially assume.

The Big Bang for instance was it caused by inflation?

Did it happen at the begging or the end of something inflating externally or internally.

If it was external it could only have happened on a quantum bases – which means that there was something there before the Big bang that existed other than eternal inflation.

Whether it did or not, during inflation space is repelling space, so there is more space and more repulsion. Pass events cause present events are ever changing is a quantum fluctuation.

The defining characteristic of inflation is its exponential rate of growth.

All inflation whether its space, money, planetary resource use, or the human population, doubles in every fixed interval of time.

It starts slowly, almost flat and then goes up and up till vertical, hitting a material limit.

This is not so in space where it can go on endlessly, according to Einstein theory of relativity.

Indeed it is faster then light, but with the help of gravity it is slowed down as it passes through different density of the universe.

However this is not true in the Quantum world of particles and antimatter which can burst out of nothing, coming back together and disappearing in a flash.

This will be the reason that the James Webb telescope will not discover God.

Unfortunate due to inflation it is looking into the past with the future always over the horizon. Beyond that we have no way now or ever finding data.  Here we reach the limits of language and are faced with the choice of mathematics or myth.

Thank God.

—————–

There are zillions of particles popping out of the vacuum of space and disappearing.

Indeed they don’t even come into existence unless they are observed.

However the real question is how does energy turn into particles. What is the actual process of inflation doing. I dont think we know.

Where did it come from in the first place, converting its expansion into Entropy – disorder.

All ordinary matter is however, everything made of atoms including the protons and neutrons that make up an atom. So it stands to reason that inflation after the Big Bang was caused by atoms that were there before inflation existed, in a dormant state.

This then leaves us with no way to explain why individual quantum events happen – they have no cause, but they do happen is standard physics, creating an eternal inflation of creativity.

We can only rely on predictions because probability obeys deterministic laws.

In the end there is no deeper source of meaning for us than to experience our own lives as reflecting the nature and origin of our universe.

For those who demand the Ultimate truth there is no way to take even a single step beyond what other people have already thought.

Lets return to earth.

At its most basic level, inflation is a general increase in prices across the economy and is well-known to all of us. This can lead to fears of possible hyperinflation, a devastating scenario in which inflation rises rapidly out of control or Stagflation (a time of economic stagnation combined with inflation) which also wreak havoc.

Although numerous theories exist, arguably the two most influential schools of thought on inflation are those of Keynesian and Monetarist economics.

Keynesian economists argue inflation results from economic pressures such as the increased cost of production and look to government intervention as a solution; monetarist economists believe inflation stems from the expansion of the money supply and that central banks should maintain stable growth for the money supply in line with GDP

The Keynesian school believes inflation results from economic pressures such as rising costs of production or increases in aggregate demand. Specifically, they distinguish between two broad types of inflation: cost-push inflation and demand-pull inflation.

The Monetarist view is perfectly encapsulated by Friedman’s remark that “inflation is always and everywhere a monetary phenomenon.” According to this view, the principal factor underlying inflation has little to do with things like labour, materials costs, or consumer demand. Instead, it is all about the supply of money.

According to the quantity theory of money, if the amount of money in an economy doubles, all else equal, price levels will also double.

This means that the consumer will pay twice as much for the same amount of goods and services. This increase in price levels will eventually result in a rising inflation level.

Then you have negative inflation when prices drop for various reasons.

What are the Causes of Inflation.

What causes inflation is significantly complex.

An increase in the supply of money is the root of inflation, though this can play out through different mechanisms in the economy. A country’s money supply can be increased by the monetary authorities by:

  • Printing and giving away more money to citizens.
  • Legally devaluing (reducing the value of) the legal tender currency.
  • Loaning new money into existence as reserve account credits through the banking system by purchasing government bonds from banks on the secondary market (the most common method)

Now I am no quantum expert or scientist but to my mind the world economy is now dependent on electronic products, all subject to the Quantum theory.

Smart phones, laptops, computers, and algorithms all fuelling inflation of knowledge and falsehoods.  The world of computing is full of buzzwords: AI, supercomputers, machine learning, the cloud, quantum computing and more.

One word in particular is used throughout computing – algorithm.

Computers string algorithms together in complex fashions to produce more algorithms. So, an algorithm is the process a computer uses to transform input data into output data. Every piece of technology that you touch involves many algorithms.

They are black boxes—neither the company using them nor the people making them take responsibility for how they can wreck lives and reinforce stereotypes.

There is no knowledge of what they are even being judged on.

The people making the algorithms don’t take responsibility for users of their code and the people using algorithms place responsibility on the creators.

Algorithms are aimed at optimizing everything including inflation.

They, that is profit seeking algorithms have put too much control in the hands of corporations and governments, perpetuate bias, create filter bubbles, cut choices, creativity and serendipity, and could result in greater unemployment and are no doubt at this very moment manipulating inflation.

The question now is are we living in two realities because they coexist with all advances in technology. In fact, everything people see and do on the web is a product of algorithms.

The use of algorithms is spreading as massive amounts of data are being created, captured and analysed by businesses and governments. Some are calling this the Age of Algorithms and predicting that the future of algorithms is tied to machine learning and deep learning that will get better and better at an ever-faster pace.

They will create new ways to misrepresent reality and perpetuate falsehoods.

Can anything be done to stop them plundering the world for short term profit?

Yes but it has to done now.

The adoption of data-driven technology affects every aspect of our society and its use is creating opportunities as well as new ethical challenges that are coming with climate change.

In the world before AI there were many different concepts of fairness. Once we introduce complex algorithms to decision-making systems, that range of definitions multiplies rapidly.

Inequality and unfairness have complex causes but society may reasonably conclude that justice requires decision-making processes to be designed so that human judgement can intervene where needed to achieve fair and reasonable outcomes for each person, informed by individual evidence.

The risk is growing as algorithms, and the datasets that feed them, become increasingly complex.

All algorithms programs should be vetted for ownership, transparency, bias, before being allowed to operate in a sustainable way.

Don’t worry you will always be around because each of us is an atomic pastiche an atom of you will always be around.

We are made of material created and ejected into the Galaxy by stars.

Try inflating that!

THE BEADY EYE SAY’S. LIVING A LIFE IS BECOMING SO COMPLICATED THAT WE NOT LIVING BUT EXISTING.

( Four minute read)

The paradox of our time is that we have so many choices available to us that many of us struggle to make any choice at all.

It like if real life is happing somewhere very far away, happing with out us and we will never find out where to become part of it.

Why is this?

Because our smart phone and the inter net has and is creating a world of such complexity

much of the beauty of the world is hidden in its influence on life.

They day of slipping off into the desert for forth days and nights have long gone.

Because every human is so different and complex in there own ways between ,religious differences, political differences, moral differences, ego and greed ext.…that it is impossible for life, the world, or mankind to ever not be complicated place.

Probably the reality is much more complicated than that.

It can be complicated by our genetic history; it can be complicated by environmental issues; it can be complicated by our own social circumstances; it can be complicated by things we aren’t even aware of–and really that’s the point.

The world itself is extremely simple, if we just get over ourselves and look at things for what they really are instead of centring everything around us, we would find this world as too simple yet too beautifully connected.

Instead most of us live life in clutter of anxiety comparing yourself with others constantly.  Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc.

We’re in danger of letting life pass us by while we click away.

Every time we try to simplify the world–which makes sense that we’d want to–but every time we try, we end up becoming essentially somewhat delusional. Delusional in that we believe things to be true when they are not true. So we simplify our view of politics by saying, “Oh, those politicians, they are all crooked.”

We lose the ability to see beauty and experience beauty and even become part of that beauty. It’s the complexity and intertwining of nature, that when we go out into nature it satisfies us.

Man Working At Home On His Desk Stock

One way to efficiently cut your time of social media is creating time blocks in which you can access social media.

Go backpacking and embrace complexity then you will see the inherent  beauty in it.

Any small change in one variable can vastly transform your life.

“You will never know all the variables”, the vast size of earth and its population alone is complex in itself.

It’s the same reason their will always be war, corruption and political upheaval ,humans most lusted “addiction” is CONFLICT….This then creates even more complexity since people are striving for different goals.

Can anything be done about making the world more simple?

If there is you would have a completely different story to tell.

Unfortunately its too late to go back and correct it. That moment is forever gone. Everyone is going about life in a different way.

We have stopped being ourselves. We hide ourselves way too much from the outside world.

Consumerism has dominated and become synonymous with western society.

We fall into the trap of needing more and more and more. The most advanced technology, a bigger house, the newest fashion style, the upgraded car. We end up continually chasing fake needs to enlarge our fake egos and maintain a fake status in this illusionary world of consumerisms we’ve created.

Money can’t buy everything, but without money, you can’t buy anything.

If I possess the ability to wield capital as a weapon, then I too can influence the world like the smartest man.

There’s an unlimited amount of future knowledge for the human race to learn.

“Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are buried alive and will come forth later in uglier ways”.
-Sigmund Freud.

Actions taking place on the atomic scale is just so hard to be perceived by the human brain that we simply use equations to describe them, without fully understanding the quantum processes that make these reactions possible.

The universe is unimaginably complex. The more you add, the more life gets complicated.

Nobody talks about the life skills you actually be needing when you become an adult.

But the positive side of all this drama is you get the satisfaction of doing and knowing things when you do it yourself.

Gratitude is the key to living a meaningful life, practice it and you find that life’s complexities are manageable.

THE BEADY EYE ASKS. WHAT IN TODAYS WORLD IS THE VALUE OF A HUMAN LIFE?

( Five minute read)

A profoundly ethical issue.

“What makes a life worth living?” “What is a life worth? ” are both questions that nobody can answer and should perhaps remain unanswered.

These questions once came pre-answered—by culture, by religion, by tradition—but these days, because of capitalism we each have to ask and answer for ourselves, with an answer not in poetic words or any words but an answer in pounds and pence or dollars and cents.

The “real question today is not when human life begins, but, what is the value of human life?”

The task of valuing life has many competing truths with no simple answer.

“Price tags are being continuously placed on our lives. If we care about equity, we need to ensure that the science behind these estimates is not oversold and that fairness is always a consideration when cost-benefit analysis is performed.”

Howard Steven Friedman

Valuing some lives more than others seems logical and natural to many of us.

We value human life in a way that assumes we possess a sacred something.

Aristotle concluded that we should value human life, due to our inherent capacity for reason.

So what reasons can we give for calling human life valuable?

The question’s complexity resides in the fact that how we arrive at a price tag on human life says a great deal about our priorities. A lot of the value we attribute to human life comes from religion. However, when you remove religion, what philosophical arguments are left?

This is were it gets tricky.

The philosopher’s job is not to accept the assumed inheritance of our forebears.

Do we determine the value of a human life based on the value we place on our lives in private decisions, and do we accept policy choices that puts future generations at risk.

Do we continue to value human life, especially above and beyond animals? If you value rationality, why is that? And does rationality, alone, bestow value on a human life?

How should we proceed?

We teach each generation that human life is valuable beyond all else.

.Is this good enough today?

Government officials are supposed to put numbers on the pros and cons of these questions but how to assess the value of a human life in financial terms is riddled with conundrum based on our behaviour which has no common denominators to adjust our assessment of a life’s value based on its quality or the probability of death?

How much should we pay today to prevent an event that would result in the loss of ten billion human lives in 50 years?    Climate Change.

So, how much is a life worth?

It seems so inhumane to put a monetary value our modern sentiments tell us that costs should not dictate life-and-death decisions. But those modern sentiments do not fit our modern experience.

We know that not all lives are valued by society equally.

Over the past four centuries, generations of black people have asked the question: What is a black life worth?

The summation of historical facts and statistical data clearly shows that the prices of black bodies in America are worth more imprisoned, enslaved, and dead than educated.

Here in Europe depending on all sorts of assumptions arisen by the Covid pandemic and now the war in the Ukraine there are a lots of conversations (right now) that seem to pit economics against life and health.

The result is the cost of living is mounting day on day while its value is descending but don’t worry your value is being look after by  the invisible hand of the market  run algorithms is giving your value the finger.

Unfortunately GDP distribution issue are now surfacing, like where is the GDP growth actually coming from?  Who’s losing income?  Does it increase equity in society?

How much a person is willing to accept to risk their own life – Climate change.

In the end the answer is my life is worth everything to me.

How much money do you get for losing a limb? It depends on where you live.

How much body parts worth workers compensation 4

Foot note . What’s wrong with killing people?

Abortion kills babies, and its advocates are loudly telling us the value they place on human life.

The idea is that we can best understand what life is worth by first understanding what death means.

THE BEADY ASKS : WHERE IS THE WORLD GOING ?

To answer that, we have to think about how we got here.

With the power of the gun, greed, colonization, religion, exploitation, wars, to name just a few.

There have been over 250 major wars in the world since World War II, in which 23 million people have been killed. Three times more people have been killed in wars in the last 90 years than in all the previous 500.  More than 500 million small arms and light weapons are in circulation around the world.

There are approximately 30,000 nuclear warheads in the world today.

Current global military spending is more than the total annual income of the poorest 45% of the global population.

Between 54 and 80 million people have been killed in genocides in the the last century. Between 170 and 360 million people have been killed, in total, by governments (democide) in the 20th century, apart from war.

About 246 million, or 1 out of 6, children ages 5 to 17 worldwide are involved in child labour.

Half of the forests that originally covered 46% of the Earth’s land surface are gone.

Based on current trends, an estimated 34,000 plant and 5,200 animal species – including one in eight of the world’s bird species – face extinction.  Almost a quarter of the world’s mammal species will face extinction within 30 years. Up to 47% of the world’s plant species are at risk of extinction.

There are over 45 million refugees and internally displaced people in the world.

And all of this is just scratching the top of the iceberg.

At the present time we have the added darkness of  – climate change – pandemics – social media tearing what left of dotmocracy asunder, out of date world organisations, politicians now middle men to the internet, and governments trying to buy there way to economic success.

How people who are already struggling will deal with it is unclear never mind  where is it leading us?

On top of this we have technology and political trends aligning against mega power like Russia- China – the USA.

10 Things Going On In The World Right Now That You Need To Know About

It is however clear that globalization is on its last legs and it replacement probably wont go well.

We all want to know the future, and unfortunately the future is coming like it or not.

Accordance with Moore’s Law, we’ll see an acceleration in the rate of change as we move closer to a world of true abundance or true disaster. There will be will 100 billion connected devices, each with a dozen or more sensors collecting data.

This will lead to a trillion-sensor economy driving a data revolution beyond our imagination .

With a trillion sensors gathering data everywhere (autonomous cars, satellite systems, drones, wearables, cameras), you’ll be able to know anything you want, anytime, anywhere, and query that data for answers and insights.

Biometric sensing (wearables) and AI will make each of us the CEOs of our own health.

The screen as we know it — on your phone, your computer and your TV — will disappear and be replaced by eyewear.

The result will be a massive disruption to the fundamental ways we operate as humans.

In a decade, it will be normal for you to give your AI access to listen to all of your conversations, read your emails and scan your biometric data because the upside and convenience will be so immense.

As well as processing lots of data on us, they must gradually grind down our distinctiveness, our individuality, our eccentricities so that we become a series of archetypes. Then, our emotions – our fears, insecurities, desires, cravings – can be more easily gauged, exploited and plundered by advertisers.

With it, our ability to empathise and compromise is eroded.

We live in different information universes, chosen for us by algorithms whose only criterion is how to maximise our attention for advertisers’ products to generate greater profits for the internet giants.

WITH DATA COLLECTION our rulers are better positioned than ever to manipulate our thinking and control what we do. They can dictate the political discourse more quickly, more comprehensively, more cheaply than ever before.

If so, what are we to do about it?

It is hard to piece together all this information in a way that gives a comprehensive picture of what the end times will look like.

Social media and the AI behind it are one of the multiple crises we can no longer ignore as capitalism reaches the end of a trajectory it has long been on.

We are fast reaching a kind of human “event horizon”, with our societies standing on the brink of collapse.

Why?

Because we are unable to enact long term thinking against short-term thinking based on religion of profit at all costs.

As if somehow, magically, each corporation acting in its selfish interest is going to produce the best result. … What’s frightening – and what hopefully is the last straw and will make us wake up as a civilisation as to how flawed this theory is in the first place – is to see that now we are the tree, we are the whale.

We are more profitable to a corporation if we’re spending time staring at a screen, staring at an ad, than if we’re spending our time living our life in a rich way.

Our attention is being mined by worthless platforms, as our world is falling apart the biggest wipe-out of wealth in history is coming.

Humanity is greater than the rules of a state, or Wall street.

There is now digital transfers of value and assets.

Earth can sometimes feel like the last place you’d want to be.

It’s important to realize that no combination of renewable energy sources can power the modern industrial world at current levels of consumption.

“Progress has nowhere to go, without a unliveable earth and it is going there in a hurry.”

What Are We Going to Do about It?

Evolution doesn’t run backward.

We face an unliveable future, yet we can’t go back. We are stuck with knowledge, and knowledge is dangerous in the hands of humans. There’s no solution to that problem, and all we can do is be more aware of our weaknesses.

Climate change will eventually force us to do,  “whatever is conducive to sustainable participation in Earth’s ecosystems

When we better understand the world and our place in it perhaps we come to an understanding that we have to live together to survive together .

THE BEADY EYE SAYS. WE NEED TO CHANGE OUR WORLD INSTITUTION AND NATIONAL AMBITIONS IN ORDER TO ACHIVE WORTHWHILE MISSION TARGETS.

(Five-minute read)

THIS POST IS FOR ALL THOSE CHINLESS WONDERS WHO BELIEVE IN PROFIT FOR THEMSELVES.

It’s no longer good enough to measure the overall wealth of a nation whilst glossing over inequality or consequential environmental degradation.

Why?

Because it is quite apparent that capitalism is stuck while the longer-term future has been transformed by the pandemic and climate change.

It has no answers to a host of problems, including disease, inequality, the digital divide, and, perhaps most blatantly, the environmental crisis the biggest problems of our time.

Rethinking the role of government nationally and in the international economy is now reaching critical a point – to put public purpose first and solve the problems that matter to people – are now the central questions for humanity.

It is imperative that responding to the climate and nature emergency is integrated across all economic activity, with an explicit commitment to moving to a more circular and resource-efficient economy.

The capacities and role of government within the economy and society,  above all need to recover a sense of public purpose in order to reshape the economic development to invests in people and businesses drive prosperity, and reduce inequality.

Our economic well-being is without any doubt tied to our environmental, cultural, and social well-being.

One can say this till we are blue in the face but the Covid crisis has removed any doubt about the fundamental role of the foundational economy in the well-being of a nation. (This is the part of the economy which could not be shut down as it provides the infrastructure of everyday life)

So investing in social care, childcare, housing, energy, low carbon, and digital connectivity not only addresses the foundational needs of civilized life but can offer meaningful and rewarding careers and be harnessed for economic development.

A holistic approach to the economy, recognizing its potential for harm as well as good, demands a holistic way to measure progress.

None of the above is possible unless we find a way of committing to long-term projects that are both politically and financially sound.

Our problem is that governments are subjected to short electrical terms in office so long-term objectives are not a priority. While the electoral population pays ever-increasing taxes either to fund a project or rectify a mistake, (without any real commitment to the project in the first place) other than a general election and a new manifesto of verbal diarrhea can deserving projects be fulfilled to completion?

What if we were to introduce legal mission statements that could not be changed till achieved,  ‘magnet projects’ funded not by taxation but by voluntary participation in the form of willing support in allowing citizens to support projects by buying sustainable green bonds with guaranteed returns and Loto style financial monthly prizes.

If we are to genuinely tackle the problems that we have created lets us genuinely participate by putting our money where our mouths are.

Too often overlooked in economic development.

You also might be led to believe that monetary activism is financial triage against world economic collapse but ask yourself what kind of political creatures are money printing spawning.

What we are seeing is the economy going online with businesses and organizations in receipt of public funding far from being totally transparent with online profit-seeking algorithms that are now driving a hidden non-paying tax economy.

The pandemic points forward to realizing that our economic models are not dealing with the growth of inequalities.

Money must be made to serve the people not the other way around social value

Imagine a society where everyone can have an equal say in the issues that concern them. Above all, a world, in which all the people own and share the wealth that we need in order to live. These would be enormously exciting times because, at long last, human society will have evolved to the position of being able to tackle effectively the challenges facing the modern world.

So here is your chance to contribute by suggesting your solutions or improving on the above suggestion of Mission Economics.
