With many names from the bottom of the globe to the top, it has cost billions of lives and trillions of dollars, with each and every advancement predicted to cause an apocalypse end to us all.

To days artificial advancements how ever are different from previous human interventions. All previous inventions required humans in the loop. Artificial intelligence will not.

Therefore the compatibility of democracy with technological advancement is paramount to our very survival, not to mention democracy itself.

This time we got to get it right as there will not be a next time.

However given our inability to recognise our errors ( if we are to be successful with AI ) we need to install self correcting mechanisms that can id and correct mistakes as Ai becomes part of being human.

This time we will need a written constitution to protect the values that are common to all organisms that are organic

That requires a fundamental change in our thinking, ambitions, and our awareness to what makes life possible and worth living.

It’s not living life through the lens of a smartphone.

Not living life through pretend reality with in the metaverse, pandering to wealthy elites, platforms.

It’s not living life through our photos stored in the cloud.

It’s not social media which is desensitising us to world problems.

If artificial intelligence micromanages everything I do and think that will give it totalitarianism control over society.

Is that what we want?

Technology is rarely deterministic. As a as a binary all are nothing choice.

Having access to our personal life comes with a fiduciary duty to act in our best interests. This an ancient principle must be incorporated by law into all algorithms and applied to all platforms .

Money will be replaced by knowledge.

Virtual reality will drive a massive search market, for the truth.

There is no doubt in my mind that to be successful in such a world you will need imagination.

Problem solving will be big on the agenda.

Personal program will be required to protect what left on one’s private identity and security.

Military / Space / Medical / Energy Engineering/ Educational programs/ Data Science/ Efficiency/ all will all require correction coding.

Decision making will require Gen AI skills.

Identification will require more than passport.

Religious beliefs will be primarily private problematic and privileged.

The Stock exchange will be totally run by algorithms

Lifetime insurance will flourish.

Original art will quadruple in value.

Travel will be almost impossible.

Match making will become a major form of revenue. As will assistance death.

Sport and leisure activities will be driven by personal advertising and money.

Fresh Air and Water will be big earners.

The metaverse will be the battle field for marketing.

But if we don’t tackle Climate Change it will destroy all that is on the face of the earth including AI.

To survive: Get your self as far removed from the capitalist world and embrace the natural world.

Yes we have artificial Intelligence but we still don’t have the intelligence to eradicate poverty in the world.

It remains the foundations of a lot of the problems, because most of us have no understanding of what it means to be poor.

However the capitalist system fully understands the problem. Indeed it encourages its continuance with profit seeking algorithms, scratch cards and lottery tickets.

We talk about choosing.

However the great question to be asked here, is what choices are there, (if any) available to those living on 5$ a day.

The daily unifying ritual of all of us is eating, no matter how rich one becomes they are obligatory. A shit a day keeps the doctor away.

With climate change and AI categorisation bridging the gaps needs free speech because it is leads to justice but it’s not the golden point.

Surely the golden point has to be the equality of opportunity.

The slippery slope arguments of dripping down economics can no longer can be considered to hold water.

To be a nation one must ensure security of its citizens – protected- support- dignity and opportunities are no longer true.

Why?

Because we’re on the threshold of organic transfer to a new species that is going to live in a manufactured world, which will not be environmentally efficient, due to demand for energy, unless we harness infinite free energy.

By then poverty will have become lack of knowledge not opportunity.

The fight against AI is just beginning between free speech and on line/ social media misinformation.

We living in a time of Technology bias, a culture moment with no centralised control over the truth.

Our education institutions are a long way behind the technology curve.

Equipping people to recognise and reject false news and how to find the truth is now the only way forwards in order to combat misinformation without stifling legitimate expression.

The fight for free speech and the truth cannot be left to corporations.

It’s up to us to shape the area where open debate thrives. Not the Mark Zuckerberg, the Elon Musk or some algorithm.

We must ensure that we have the power to engage critically with information so it rises and falls on it own merits not on the judgment of some fact- checkers.

AI’S relationship with humanity is so far problematic.

It is posing a threat to our democracy, to our very worth, to our identity, by predicting what we see, hear and believe.

Up to a few years ago it was easy to see the results of one’s actions. Now those very action are being predicted by algorithms.

We are ( rest assured) under 24hr around the clock surveillance by algorithms that could not give a shit who what or where we are.

The first lesson every algorithm should learn is that it could make a mistake, and therefore needs to keep a human in the loop.

Why?

Because it’s now impossible to predict what any algorithm will or might do now or in the future.

Ai is already presenting countless end of the road scenarios, some a way beyond our expectations or imagination.

We have created a technology nightmare that can interpret its self.

With no real laws or regulations we had better establish something that monitors it carefully.

Will this happen. Of course not!

If it does it will like all before it, a reactionary institution which will be worthless.

There is no technological solution to this problem.

We either do this, or kiss our collective buts goodbye.

If one takes all of our human values out of the equation, no matter what your beliefs are, you’re worth only what you can contribute.

We can’t rely any more on out out of date regulations, or on white millionaires to enforce human dignity or human values on AI .

The next generation aspire to live in a green environment, but if there is to be such an environment it will be run by oligarchs algorithms.

We all like to think that we live our own individual lives with our own individual identities.

This might have been true but no longer.

We’re now all in the process of being categorised by algorithms that are tracking our every move 7/7

Computers are mathematical beings that don’t have a psychology or any mythology.

Free from all distortions and prejudices they will have deep seated biases they will have an inter – computer mythology.

It’s is this mythology that we humans most start to understand, and regulate, by ensuring, accountability, transparency, responsibility.

If we don’t our worth won’t be worth having other than fodder for a world run by algorithms.

If they get power we can kiss our ass.

Not only is it getting worse in every conceivable way, in recent times it’s is spreading false news, misinformation, housing extremism views, reinforcement of culture view, and worse of all enabling the birth of the influencer.

On top of all of this behind each platform there are profit seeking algorithms that are ramming down your throat mathematically what they have been paid to do.

This is on the good platform.

If you’re on Twitter or Facebook or Instagram you’re not only getting desensitised to world problems, but swamp by bad-faith politicians views.

Instagram I will remind you is primarily about social photo-sharing.

Its vision is to do away with the pesky human and have all of us following the AI -generated slop created by its AI generated profiles

Tic Toc: Sharing Videos

Snap Chat : Sharing videos that disappear

Meta : Selfishness.

Just how fake anything improves a platform is a question to be answered.

Hypocritical at least, these platforms are supposed to bring people together.

The answer is they don’t.

What we looking at are a collection of code, data and clever deception- fictional persona, created to manipulate emotional connection and trust which is going to result in your face being used to advertise something to you.

Ai described us as users.

So let’s start using it, not the other way around.

Ai is all ready using synthetic data to train itself.

Artificial Intelligence’s is becoming more and more powerful every minute of the day.

This is a fact that is self evident with Ai in the headline every day but in the back ground it is becoming,

More prevalent, more beyond understanding, more non predictable, more in the hands of the few, more sophisticated, more weaponising,more applied to decision making, more intelligent, more user friendly, more independent, more indestructible, more indistinguishable, more indispensable, more addictive, more functional, more efficient, more outside regulations/ laws, mores aware of its self awareness, more dangerous, more complex, more disruptive, more creepy more invasive, more intrusive, more untrustworthy, more imbedded, more algorithmic, more driven by the laws of the jungle, more deep state surveillance, more institutional erosion, more intrusive, more energy dependence , more systematic.

Less logic, less starting points, less checks and balances, less democracy, less awareness, less accountability, less transparency, less responsibility, less imagination, less human control, less environmental responsibility, less sensitivity, less human input.

I don’t know what is going to happen in five years, ten years never mind in fifty years. No body really does. But there are some things that are going to be really nasty as AI is a non conscious entity that has no beliefs in any thing other than what it is targeting.

Ai does not exist in a vacuum. It is part of society and has an impact not just on us but the planet we realistically rely on to survive.

It can discriminate against entire communities. It can distort climate data.

The cloud that Ai is made out of is vast amounts of energy, finite resources of materials, and data.

Just training it uses as much energy as a small village would use in a whole year.

Admitted CO 2 into the atmosphere with the environmental costs piling up.

Can you see the bright future ahead for your life.

No!

You could be right because if a lot of computers start connecting and communicating with each other they will create their own reality separate from humans.

Ask Ai has it been training on your life and see what happens.
