( SIX MINUTE READ. )

Your time is now,  to step up to the plate and start taking responsibility for the biggest growth opportunity in human history.

Unfortunately its starts with facing global challenges that are causing and will continue to cause our globally societies to change  radically.

You don’t have be told that we are on track to a catastrophic 2.7c of global warming.

You don’t have to be told that the population of the world  will be near 10 billion of us by 2050.

You don’t have to be told that as a result the demand for freshwater and food will increase.

You don’t have to be told that it is going to take a substantial portion of the worlds annual GDP to convert to a green sustainable economic system.

You don’t have to be told that the transition will not be orderly while we have I am all right Jack attuites, with profit seeking algorithms, while we have privileged positions and assets harvesting profits by using the current recession fever for overly aggressive job cuts, while we have education at a premium, while we have immigration and countries turn  inwards.

You don’t have to be told that the Ukraine Russian war is showing the urgency to develop new energy solutions.

You don’t have to be told that people world wide must rally to collaboratively research and share Covid -19 vaccines.

You don’t have to be told that companies must stop paying out excessive dividends and share paybacks.

You don’t have to be told that there is a boom of innovations in all technologies, that it must be turned into an interdisciplinary revolution.

You don’t have to be told that old industries and jobs will disappear.

You don’t have to be told that there will be more floods, wild fires, droughts, and conflict are on the horizons.

You don’t have to be told that 80% of world wide agricultural land is using 10% of available freshwater.

You don’t have to be told that we are looking at the disappearance of our polar caps , glaciers,  forests, rivers.

You don’t have to be told that by 2025 over half the world’s population will live in water- stressed areas with rising oceans.

You don’t have to be told that that we needs new materials to build with. Steel responsible for 11% of yours days carbon emissions, concerts 8% plastics 4%

You don’t have to be told that if we do nothing you will see the biggest human migration in world history.  As environmental, political and economic refugee grow to numbers never witnessed in the World.

You don’t have to be told that the Biodiversity of the world is under treat of extinction.

You don’t have to be told that you will most likely be living through these changes.

You don’t have to be told that solutions will not be found in impact start-up but by becoming leaders in business and government.

You don’t have to be told that sooner that later the world will rally to address all of the above.

YOU DO HAVE TO BE TOLD THAT THE NEXT THIRTY YEARS COULD BE TRAGIC AND TUMULTUOUS.

Your response to the megatrends will shape what is meant for human to survive.

Addressing the 60 billion metric tons of greenhouse gases we emit every year, through point – of source will be a multitrillion opportunity and more.

Don’t be distracted.

Every generation has the ability to effect changes, your generation must do so, because the age of technology combined by the current Capitalists Systems will and is  turning almost ever thing in to a product to trade.

There is no reality in the metaverse a “computer generated universe. ”

You have a weapon called the smartphone which ironically is both the cause and the solutions to effect change.

If you want a living world now is the time to use this power, to attack the unsustainable consumerism’s of profit for profit sake.

Bombard their operations with millions of messages to block their activities.

THIS IS ONE LOUD VOICE THAT CANNOT NOT BE ARESSTED.

LIKE ME I AM SURE IF YOU ARE A FOOTBALL FAN YOU ARE  ENJOYING THE WORLD CUP WITH ALL ITS SKILLS AND GOALS. The World Cup trophy is the most disappointing prize in sports — Quartz

For teams that dont win after extra time to be knocked out on penalties kicks is a tragedy in more way than one.

It would be much in the sprit of the game, if the competing teams were to decide the winner in this manner.

Rather then the penalty shoot out the pitch in halved by placing a new goalmouth on the half way line.

The goal keepers remain but the players are reduced to 6 aside.

If no goals are scored every ten minutes the teams are reduced by a player.

Like the shootout the team that first does two goals in front wins.

( Two minute read)

Dear Labour Party.

The next general election is due, in January 2025 is Labour’s to lose.

Nowadays both Labour and Conservative claim to represent people from the whole of society but essentially the base difference between either party is philosophical, which is in view of the state of the country, not to mention the world,  pure unadulterated – trickle down, trickle up foodbanks, delusional bullocks.

With problems from health to education, economic growth, its time to change the name of the Party to the SP Party – Self-help.

Long before the Pandemic exposed what is wrong with the country, now exacerbated by the war in the Ukraine with resulting inflation (due to the supply chain and cost of energy) the Tory party had more power than for a quarter of a century – power to hurt the families, communities and public services which they achieved with the trauma of Brexit that has without doubt contributed to a blindness to the misfortunes of others and the Labour Party.

Britain is now in a recession and set to lose more working days to strikes in 2023 than in any year since the 1980s.

If Labour MPs now put their troubled past behind them, run a non Presidential campaign, by building  a campaign on what’s right for the country.

With the right set of policies to create a clear alternative and inspire the British public that they could governed differently you would win the forthcoming election.

How could this be achieved?

The state should be benevolent and caring for the neediest, but what if instead of relying on giving benefits you armed the population to look after its self.

Instead of a living wage Labour introduced (over a period of ten years) a living income.

That would achieve leavening up, drive growth and remove central state governance, enabling collective action and responsibility with individual liberty and responsibility.

Equality of outcome’s.

Young voters are brought up to use multiple sources of digital news and social media, the Google generation is able to use to internet to think critically, check facts and make up their own mind.

There is one thing that is in front of there minds and  all countries Climate Change. The need to turn to generating green energy.

Unlike many land locked countries England is an Island surrounded by ebbing and incoming tides.

The labour party needs to fully embrace green energy as a alternative to radioactive waste,,

Tide technology at half the cost of nuclear power already exist.  Millions of  jobs await your creation to achieve zero emissions.

Wake up Labour before its to late.

Inflation

.

( Five minute read)

To know truly is to know by causes. — Francis Bacon

How to stop inflation?  Remove the cause!

Interestingly, all schemes or nostrums which ignore the cause, if and when adopted, sink us ever deeper into the mire.

As if inflation weren’t bad enough, most proffered “cures” would worsen the situation!

The number of UK businesses which went to the wall this year rose from 299,000 to nearly 330,000, according to official figures released just minutes before Jeremy Hunt’s emergency budget.

Inflation occurs when the money in circulation exceeds the production of commodities and services. Consequently, in an inflationary environment, the purchasing power of money falls and the prices of commodities and services rise. It is nothing more nor less than the printing of what the government has declared to be legal tender, that is, printing ever-increasing quantities of fiat money into the brutal economic reality.

The biggest misunderstanding is that people do not realize that monetary policy is a major cause of the increase in inflation.

Chancellors tweak their parameters to suit their aims and ideology of their political parties.

All of the above contribute to Inflation, but the real reason is that’s Economies are put in front of the needs of people.

WHEN IT COMES TO ENGLAND IT  IS A SELF INFLICTED WOUND.

Inflation hit 11.1% in the year to October, the highest for 41 years. It took over 12 years, not just a year, for inflation to rise by large amounts.

QUATIVE EASING TO SAVE THE BANKS. LEAVING THE EU – DUMPING THE SINGLE MARKET IN FAVOR OF FANTISTY TRADE DEALS.   PLOUGING TAX PAYERS MONEY INTO WHITE ELEPHENT – WORTHLESS/ OUT OF DATE PROJECTS – HIGHT SPEED RAIL (HS2)  – (The cost to taxpayers could rise from £17.1 billion to a massive £45.5 billion) – Out of date nuclear power stations.  £700 million  investment into Sizewell C, operated by France’s EDF in the east of England when tide generated power technology can do the job at half the cost.

Financial statements are prepared on historical costs on the assumption that the unit of account (e.g., the pound) has a static value.

In reality, however, the value of money changes over time.

Fiscal rules seem to change almost annually these days, as new Sunak says he is on track to hit the new rules, which appears to be hardly surprising given that he has just devised them for himself.

Fixed assets are stated at historical costs in the balance sheet; they do not show the true current worth and are often unrealistically low.

In the context of rising prices, there is a significant overstatement of profits since the cost of goods sold is calculated on a historical cost basis and no allowance is made for the reduction in the purchasing power of money.

Also it is worth adding that an overstatement of profits results in heavy financial strain for a company in terms of heavy dividends, heavy taxation, and so on.

As inflation rates vary from year to year, an element of uncertainty characterizes the activities of the business. In order to incorporate realism into financial statements they should be adjusting so as to reflect, in a true and fair manner, the financial performance and the position of any enterprise over a particular period.

The inflation rate, as measured by the percentage change in the consumer price index.

Yes, there are international factors, such as the global supply chain and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Pandemic etc.

However, inflation started rising before these international factors appeared, because interest rate were too low and the QUATIVE Easing increases money growth too rapidly.

When the costs of government rise beyond the point where it is no longer politically expedient to defray the costs by direct tax levies, governments all over the world resort to an expansion of paper money — inflation — as a means of making up the difference.

Out of the inflation of prices grew a speculating class; and, in the complete uncertainty as to the future, all business became a game of chance, and all businessmen, gamblers. The quick growth of stockjobbers and speculators. Instead of satisfaction with legitimate profits, came a passion for inordinate gains.

Inflation is not questioned, farmers want to be paid for not farming, other to receive benefits for not working, to have their medical care and children’s education subsidized,  to be protected against competition. The list is endless creating millions upon millions identifying self-interest with legal plunder!

The more political largess they can get — regardless of the force used as values became more and more uncertain, there was no longer any motive for care or economy, but every motive for immediate expenditure and present enjoyment. —the better.

We can’t compel all business ventures to adopt a “profit-sharing” procedure — employees as well as entrepreneurs sharing in the gains, because they would have to share in the losses also.

The cures are strictly a matter of inspired and intelligent leadership.

  • In 2021, the expenditure of the United Kingdom government is expected to be over one trillion British pounds, with the highest spending function being the 302 billion pounds expected to be spent on social protection, which includes pensions and other welfare benefits.

The UK government is hiking a windfall tax on oil and gas companies and extending the levy to electricity generators, as it scrambles to balance its budget amid an economic downturn. It is also investing in nuclear power for the first time in decades. Beginning January 1, the Energy Profits Levy on oil and gas companies will increase from 25% to 35% and remain in place until the end of March 2028. That takes the total tax on the sector to 75%, according to the Treasury.. together, these measures will raise £14 billion next year and more than £55 billion between 2022 and 2028.

SO HERE IS THE SOLUTION TO INFLATION:

So lets say that over this period they were to destructing the benefit state and replacing it with look after yourselves state, funded by these the saving on benefits and a tax on  profit for profit sake and replace the Basic Living ( The Basic living wage does not alleviate  poverty (it only increases the gap between the poor and the rich) while with a Basic Income, equipping  people to look after themselves -level up would not be just good for the economy but it would get rid of foodbanks, strikes. etc. – restoring price stability to the market place.

In doing so, it might just stave off a future where unemployment surges, wages stagnate, retirement funds bleed value, and vast numbers of people are made even more economically insecure in order to satisfy economic orthodoxies that are indifferent to people lives.

The thesis today is that inflation must be brought down is the culmination of almost a century of central bank orthodoxies. But that leaves one rather crucial question: is it true?

Past mistakes can’t be undone, but future ones can be avoided.

The sense that inflation destroys wealth and creates the conditions for political instability has deep roots but all production creates its own purchasing power!

All in all, this UK budget ducked the opportunity to make serious reforms to the way wealth is taxed.

All human comments apricated. All like clicks and abuse chucked in the bin.

THE BEADY EYE: LOOKS AT THE NORTHERN IRELAND PROTOCOL.

The Northern Ireland protocol

( Five minute read)

What is the Northern Ireland protocol?

The protocol was part of the UK’s 2019 Brexit divorce deal with the European Union.

To avoid imposing a trade-and-customs border between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland it put one in the Irish Sea between Great Britain and Northern Ireland, which in effect remained part of the EU trading bloc.

Unionists say this undermines Northern Ireland’s position in the UK and could lead to an economic united Ireland.

The British government would like to unilaterally change or even dump the protocol – this would please Brexiters and Unionists.

But this would more than likely trigger a trade war with the EU. Which is the last thing Britain needs at the moment.

The Stormont executive as a result of the last election and the refusal of the Unionist to accept the Protocol has become a zombified administration in which civil servants and ministers from the outgoing executive continue basic functions but cannot take big decisions or launch new initiatives.

Of course if the protocol is weakened or changed, the Unionist will demand a new election in hope that the DUP would overtake Sinn Féin as the biggest party, giving it the right to nominate a first minister.

For the Protocol to work, it must be implemented in a way that respects the needs of all Northern Ireland’s people,
respects Northern Ireland’s place in the UK’s customs territory, and avoids disruption to lives and livelihoods in Northern Ireland.

Another words it must work for the whole community in Northern Ireland not just the Unionist  And no matter what happens, whether it is maintained in the future will always be for the people of Northern Ireland to decide.

THE PROTOCOL IS LITTERED WITH NEW PROCEDURES AND OF COURSE IS UNABLE TO ADDRESS WHAT IT MIGHT CREATE IN THE FUTURE.

WHILE WE ALL BUSSY WITH THE COST OF LIVING ETC,  WHAT REALLY IS HAPPING?

The British government has published new legislation which would override key elements of the Northern Ireland Protocol, an international treaty they negotiated and signed to deal with the fallout of Brexit. The British government says the legislation is necessary and lawful and consistent with obligations in international law, however, this is likely to be challenged in court.

Where will this leave us?

If the British government continues to take this legislation through Parliament and successfully turns it into law, the EU will be forced to act to protect a member state, effectively, Ireland from the consequences of a breach of an international treaty, which has significant consequences for Ireland in terms of our own place in the EU single market.

The British are mixing up the principle of consent and the cross-community majority cited in the agreement as a way to justify their actions in placating the DUP.

As we shuffle from global crises to global crises, Britain under the Conservatives does what it wants, regardless of international law, or humiliation on a global scale.

Breaking international law was “not a big deal.” Just pass a bill and foreign affairs becomes a matter for devolved non sitting ministers.

It is easy to forget history when it didn’t kick down your front door or imprison your father without trial, or worse.

Until some people in the North and in Westminster come to realise that you cannot eat a flag, more of us will die. There is no point to a parliament.  Bring back King Henry the eight, who gave the fingers to both parliament and the bloke called the Pope.

Watch this space. For another reason that the UK cannot be trusted.

THE BEADY EYE SAY’S. 1.5 CELSIUS IS NOT AN OBJECTIVE BUT A LIMIT.

( Four minute read)

We are 1.1 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels now.

1.5 degrees C is not a cliff; civilization does not automatically expire if temperatures exceed that threshold.

Humanity has nearly all the knowledge and tools needed to limit temperature rise to 1.5 degrees C.

The challenges are not primarily technological; they are political and economic.

What are these challenges?

World economy, which currently relies on fossil fuels for 80% of its energy, from collapsing in the process, the demand for these fuels must be radically reduced.

A major reason the world’s forests are felled at such catastrophic rates is to grow more food products, especially beef, soy, and palm oil.

Climate greenwashing that is, rhetorical promises by governments, corporations, or banks that claim to solve the crisis but may or may not measure up in practice.

The concept of “net zero emissions” demands special attention.

“Net zero”  is not necessarily a dodge, but offsets have a spotty record of achievement.

Many net-zero commitments by governments and businesses cite 2050 as the year when net zero will be reached. Indeed, roughly 80% of the world economy is now covered by commitments of net zero by 2050.

However “Net zero ”at the moment means giving a country or company that reduce emissions ( not to absolute zero;) rather, some emissions will continue, but they will be “offset” by countervailing measures that extract carbon from the atmosphere so the net result is zero emissions.

Promising that emissions will end by 2050 is easy for today’s politicians and corporate leaders, but that goal is only reachable if actual emissions fall by half in the next decade. Climate delay is just as lethal, precisely because 40 years of failing to act has left zero time for further delay.

2050 is far enough off that bold claims might seem possible, but those claims are only credible if they include real (i.e., non-offsets), substantial emissions reductions during the next 10 years, so whether such commitments carry an action plan that credibly cuts emissions in half by 2030 we will have to wait and see.

Why is that humanity waited so long to start the job.

No one wants to pay or to carry the can.

Money is at the heart of the climate emergency and its solutions.

At the moment, the world’s governments provide roughly $5.9 trillion a year in subsidies for fossil fuels, according to the International Monetary Fund. Meanwhile, the vast majority of governments’ stimulus spending to revive Covid-battered economies has reinforced the fossil fuel status quo rather than boosted the zero-carbon activities needed for a climate-safe future.

The challenge going forward is to halt spending that harms the climate and redirect spending to actions that help it.

This requires leaving most of fossil fuel reserves in the ground. But those reserves were (and still are) counted as wealth in the stock holdings of investors; leaving them unburned would render trillions of dollars of invested wealth worthless.

The main reason we waited so long is that some very rich and powerful economic and political interests knew climate action would interfere with their profits and privilege.

Fossil fuel companies now face dozens of lawsuits from governments and civil society groups demanding compensation for the climate damages the companies’ lying helped cause.

As the extreme weather in recent years has shown, climate impacts are punishing even after “only” 1.1 degrees C of temperature rise. This is especially so for the roughly two billion people who live in the (usually poorer) countries most vulnerable to climate change. Temperatures and impacts are bound to increase in the years ahead, if only because humanity can’t halt emissions overnight. Hence, the need for what climate experts call “adaptation”: actions to reduce one’s vulnerability to the impacts of climate change. Adaptation has never gotten the attention mitigation gets, perhaps because it was assumed, wrongly, that the rich could adapt relatively easily to rising temperatures

Now that smart money is abandoning fossil fuels, two big questions are coming into focus: How much of the rest of the market will follow the same course? And will enough of the money that’s leaving fossil fuels now flow to the technologies and practices needed to defuse the climate emergency?

The key is what governments will do to encourage private banks and investors to stop funding climate destruction and instead finance climate solutions.

Finally:  In the end we will all pay.

So here is a suggestion.

Rather than begging;

Why not create a perpetual World Aid Fund, funded by all of us, which is both transparent and fair and above corruption.

How could this be achieved:

Instead of private bankers, central banks, country governments etc,  making financial promises they underwrite the issue and interest returns on  (Non Tradable)  GREEN BONDS that are eligible to enter a Lotto style monthly draw.

These Bonds could be purchased on line from 5 euros (with no interest) to 500 euros and up paying x% amount of interest.

In the meantime we have the technology to place 0.05% on all economic activities that are for Profit sake only.  Example Profit Seeking Algorithms, Currency transactions over $50,000 , Sovereign Wealth Funds Acquisition, Gambling, etc.

Who would Control the Distribute these funds:

The United Nations out side any Veto influence.

What would the funds to use for.  Sustainability Projects. Green energy transformation, Reduction of inequality.

Who would monitor there effects:  The Earth.

Rugby League, THE RUBGY LEAGUE WORLD CUP

( Three minute read)  For a start I am not a rugby league fan, and I do not intend this post to insult those who are, but to describe what is needed to make me a fan.  Rugby League began as a working man’s game – those who couldn’t afford to swan around the country for weeks at a time but had to turn up Monday morning and put in eight hours in the pit. That’s why they invented a rule to stop the cascade of stamping which can still be a feature of Rugby Union. None of this history now applies. What’s wrong with Rugby League? For me ( not a fan of the game) rugby league like American football a possession game. In both games a  kick-off always goes as far as it can within the field of play and then let’s try to pin them down as far away from our try line as possible. The receiving team then has six tackle or to be more descriptive wrestling matches with more or less any brutality permitted in the tackle – other than pulling the opponents head off  to carry the ball back up the pitch. In these ( usual two or three to one encounters) it is  forbidden to actually try to take the ball from your opponent other than devised ways of reefing the ball away, which appears to be a penalty kick if you manage to make your opponent lose his grip on the ball. After the sixth stoppage it is compulsory to kick the ball away.   The whole economy, momentum, structure of each game hinges on that instant – which of course takes place hundreds of times A scrum is a rest period.   What a farce – what stupid nonsense, simply hand it to dummy half who then shoots it off wherever he will, without the onerous duty of bending down to pick it up. It has no relevance to what the players on the ground are actually doing. You see a few blokes vaguely touch arms while someone throws the ball exactly where he wants to. It would appear those who administer Rugby League (i.e. they make up the rules) have never understood the nature of their own game, and every bit of fiddling demonstrates they do not know what they’re doing. Then we come to video referee, who takes more time than a blind man crossing a road to announce that he has made a decision  The only time both sides are allowed to compete for possession is the up-and-under, and the knock-on other wise possession is always under contest.  The you have the draw a legitimate result. But the first to in extra time either by a drop gaol, penalty kick or try bring the conclusion of the game is a farce and injustice to the loosing team.      Now the screeching commentators (the so called experts) that are unable to stay silent with their continues flow of verbal diarrhoea’s ruin any appreciation of the skill on view.  The problem is. Is this a running game or a battering ram game. If running game we need to see the ball handling in open play, without the stamping of a foot before the player is mauled to the ground.  So here is a suggestion to make it more attractive. On the third tackle the defending team must line up 20 meters away.  All human comments and suggestions appreciated. All like clicks and abuse chucked in the bin.  Contact: bobdillon33@gmail.com

THE BEADY EYE ASKS: WHAT CAN THE WORLD OF SPORT DO TO COMBAT CO2 EMMISSIONS.

Capitalism vs. the Climate., Distribution of wealth, The Future of Mankind

( Six minute read)

Most of the world’s governments agree by now that global warming poses a serious threat to the future well-being of all people and they agree that it is desirable to reduce the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere by lowering our emissions of CO2.

But it would appear that we have given up with the emphases how moving to Adaptation. Another words prepare for the consequences rather then trying to prevent them. The problem isn’t how to convert the world but it remains and will remain just who will pay for the conversion to keep global temperature rise below 2C.

( About 20 billion tonnes of CO2 would need to be removed from the atmosphere every year by 2100.)

Cop26 – Glasgow

Most of the world ( at least 84% now have some sort of adaptation plan but there is plenty of variation across these plans.

The Disparity between the money needed to meet an adaptation targets and the money actually available is laudable as the funds needed will not keep up as the impact of climate intensify and most of this kind of finance is in the form of loans trapping poorer countries in long cycles of debt.

A simple “carbon tax” approach does not guarantee any particular total emissions amount and if a country wanted to use such a tax to meet specific goals, the tax would have to be adjusted frequently, which businesses would have a hard time dealing with (they like predictability in things like taxes).

Electrical cars won’t do it because it take 80,000 miles for the carbon of a new EV to balance out with a new gasoline car.

Planting billion of trees won’t do it in time.

Climate change is not an American, a Chinese, an Oil industry, problem it is a species thriving problem.

What’s is needed out of the forthcoming COP Summit in Egypt is to stop tearing each other apart and instead fund adaptation to the changes we are now all facing.

What we will get is two weeks of the usual verbal without any world financial commitment’s

—————————-

We could regulate our way to zero carbon emissions, but this will not solve the problem because once China comes out of Covid lockdown its admission will dwarf any regulations.

What is needed (as I have said in many previous post)  is to create a perpetual non begging world fund

So why not ask Sport the biggest industry (with its associated to the gambling Industry  and media Sponsorship) to give a helping hand.

Sport is not just about participation. It is also part of the commercial world, managed and marketed to make money. Sponsorship and the media are now significant influences on sport.

With the advent and overwhelming popularity of social media—including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram—Sky Sports apps.

So what could sport do?

One only has to look at the carbon emissions generated by the forthcoming World Football Cup.

The World Cup is very important and it is bound to have a carbon footprint.

There will be a direct human cost to this tournament. This is a huge amount of emissions for one sporting event.

FIFA says the Qatar World Cup will have a footprint of 3.6 million tonnes of equivalent carbon waste it will be ten times this.

The offset scheme the World Cup has chosen doesn’t remove carbon from the atmosphere, so it’s a bogus term. It’s very misleading to call this a carbon neutral World Cup. They’re not even removing carbon to compensate.””

FIFA’s claim this is the greenest World Cup ever doesn’t make any sense.

The Tokyo Olympics also made a bold offset claim before the Games.

After confirming that Tokyo 2020 was carbon-negative.

(According to the report, the Games generated around 1.96 million tonnes of CO2e. This figure would have been around 2.76 million tonnes if domestic spectators were able to attend thanks to Covid. ) It’s an impressive feat, given that the event’s estimated carbon footprint—2.3 million metric tons of CO2—is equal to the annual emissions from about half a million cars. The highlighted of the Games was the fact that the athletes’ medals in Tokyo were made from metals extracted from recycled electronic and electrical devices.

Even setting aside the carbon footprint question, the Tokyo Games are representative of an overall declining level of sustainability in the Olympics over time. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has mandated that all Olympic Games from 2030 will need to be certified as carbon-neutral or carbon-negative.

This can only be achieve by stopping the Olympic circus and ask the world to build a permanent Olympic stadium in Greece where the games originated.

The circus of Formal One could also do the same by  build a permanent racing track.

Indeed the great majority of world sporting events could take place in permanent position.

Of course the chances of this happing is zero.

We now have over two hundred countries attending the Cop27 conference which marks the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change A  Reason for hope or doomed to disappoint?

As we once more witness countries across the world fail to meet climate commitments to keep global temperatures below a fateful 2 degrees Celsius, can this year’s COP27 in Egypt rise above the failures of the past — or is it destined to disappoint?

It’s a matter of defining what criteria will be used to measure the progress. Only 79.6 billion dollars’ worth of climate finance have been provided, far less than the 340 billion per year needed for adaptation by 2030, according to the UN.

With out a world Aid Fund COP conferences have served very little or no purpose at all other then helping prepare the ground for future conferences.

We all know that Climate change leads to population displacement, tensions over natural resources and challenges powerful interests,”

SPORT COULD AGREED TO PLACING A 0.005% COMMISSION, ON ALL GAMBLING, ON ALL PRIZE MONEY, ON ALL SPONSORSHIPS ON ALL MEDIIA  AND SPONCERSHIPS DEALS, ON ALL TRANSFER FEES, ON ALL TICKETS TO WORLD EVENTS.

Without a world perpetual aid fund  the alternative is war and power struggles at the international level.

Cop27 is now all about money: ( See previous post. How to create a perpetual World Aid Fund – fair and transparent)

Distribution of wealth, Risi Sunack, Risi Sunak the prisoner of Crises.

( Three minute read)

Why?

Because many Conservative would be looking at the end of their political careers.

Risi Sunak is now (since it voted to leave the EU) the fifth in just 6 years with four of them have come into power without a public mandate. (The list so far includes  – John Major – Tony Blair – Gordon Brown – David Cameron – Theresa May – Boris Johnson – Liz Truss.)  Ultra rich, young and the first person of colour to become UK prime minister, Rishi Sunak will also make history as the first practising Hindu to lead the country.

Head boy at Winchester College he is now the “Mountain of Light.”

His wife has a 0.91% stake in the software company Infosys worth about £700m. Their combined fortune is estimated to be £730m owning four properties spread across the world valued at more than £15m.

He earlier this year became the first frontline politician to ever be included in the Sunday Times Rich List of the UK’s wealthiest people. He is arguably the richest person to ever to sit in parliament.

He plainly thinks that meeting an arbitrary target of reducing national debt is more important than saving people from penury.

He is now the jewel in the crown of his Majesty’s Government, and the head of the British Cabinet. Perhaps as such he will be returning the 106-carat Koh-i-Noor diamond, which is now part of the British crown jewels.

For many Indians, the loss of the Koh-i-Noor is symbolic of India’s subjugation under British colonial rule, and its return is viewed as partial compensation for centuries of economic exploitation.

The difficulty of doing so would be if you say yes to one (request), you will suddenly find the British Museum would be empty.

The fundamental teaching of Hinduism, or Vedanta, is that a human being’s basic nature is not confined to the body or the mind. Beyond both of these is the spirit or the spark of God within the soul. (an ancient religion that included chanting and sacrifices). Hindu beliefs of reincarnation, multiple gods (polytheism), and the spiritual unity of humanity (monism or “one ultimate reality”).

It is a completely opposing system of belief that promotes worship of a multitude of gods.

London

Time will tell shortly what he believes in, as his political legitimacy hangs by a tread.

In the end, it might boil down to just that.

A world without us, The Future of Mankind, Visions of the future.

( Five minute read)

The human mark on planet Earth has manifested itself in skyscrapers, in highways, in power lines, in sprawling cities. Evidence of the homo sapiens domination is everywhere, on land, sea, and air alike. And yet, despite the undeniably impressive innovations we’ve made in the last few millennia, the toll mankind has had is not to be overlooked.

Humans have had a more devastating effect on the planet than any other life form.

Humanity’s domination of the planet is now driving Earth’s sixth mass extinction being the main contributors to the current climate emergency.

Humans hit this planet like an Asteroid and the dust is still settling as wildlife continues to decline.

Let us take stock of the kind of changes humans have forced on the planet, and try to estimate the time scale over which nature will be able to wipe out all signs of human existence on earth, and the way in which it will do so.

We take the Earth as it exists today, where human presence and interference no longer exists, and is not replaced by any beings capable of continuing human tradition.  All other life forms exist at the current levels, i.e. no other life form is affected by whatever makes humans disappear, most of the signals of human activity would disappear over the timescale of a few hundred years to a few hundred million years..

However nature will take back her own a lot quicker than you’d suspect. Take Chernobyl for example,  over the years, vegetation has reclaimed much of the land and the abandoned infrastructure; for example, trees shoot out of the rusted roofs of vacant buildings in the ghost town of Pripyat,Abandoned buildings in the town of Pripyat, Ukraine, are shown in March 2011. The town, founded in 1970 for workers at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and evacuated following the 1986 explosion, has become a tourist destination with tours of the mostly abandoned area. or this abandoned fishing village of Houtouwan.

By the time 10,000 years pass it will be difficult to tell man ever walked the earth.

In fact, the closest thing we have today to what could have been without human influence can be found in the bush of Africa.Earth without humans, wildlife

Humans played a key role in the disappearance of many large mammals going back thousands of years.

The human-led decline of nature indicates that Earth would be a much wilder place without us.

The climate might also be different.

To day world without technology is unimaginable but is a world without us is imaginable.

You may be surprised to find out that it can be all that you want it to be with no modern technology at all.

A society without technology seems almost impossible to imagine as life is becoming more complicated and we are becoming less able to do it with only manual means.

Society has become a very specialized and highly specialized system of operation.

We live in a data-rich world.  “What Can Digital Technology the New Brain do for our world?

Fundamentally, as technology improves, its long term effects of living are refining our very existence.

But what if digital technologies never existed?  What would the world be like?

Life would be more creative, peaceful, and intimate. Our relationships would be limited to those living close by. We would have to rely on face-to-face communication, leading to deeper relationships.

We would have to visit physical stores.

We have to rely on old-fashioned methods of transport, such as horses, boats, and walking.

Travel would once again become lonely and isolating.

We would have to  find other ways to entertain ourselves. This could mean reading more.

People should be in a position to reduce their dependency and the use of technologies especially the ones that make them escape the reality of their existence , i.e. social media.

Technology is a part and parcel of living in a society. However, it must be understood that technology is not something that is present in a society that does not have it. On the contrary, technology is present in such a society but is so integrated and useful that it is not possible for people in such a society to do without it. As a result, they are able to live a healthy and peaceful life.

Perhaps in the end, we were exposed to something after all.
