ENOUGH TO PROTECT HUMANITY.

The world isn’t ready for the radical transformation AI will bring.

AI systems process and store information thousands of times greater than a human brain. As these systems continue to absorb ever-larger data sets, they could soon surpass human cognition altogether.

Once that happens, we will may no longer understand how AIs think—or what goals they might set for themselves.

If machines reach or surpass human intelligence, every law will be not worth the paper it’s written on.

AIs could one day develop their own subgoals.

  1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
  2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
  3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
  4. None of these laws can be be enforced

Because the question will be who decides what is harmful.

Because what happens if a robot finds something far more important like protecting its own existence, than protecting humans.

Because how or who decides what is injurious, or not injurious, to humanity as a whole?

Apart from practical laws that govern robotics working alongside human beings who will be exposed to low doses of radiation robots.

They will be ungovernable. So all robots will have to have a termination code built into them.

Some advanced AI systems are now rewriting their own code to avoid being turned off. What started as a routine test quickly exposed behavior no one expected — one model even altered a key script to stay online.

Once it becomes uncontrollable, AI will be a threat to social relations and employment, and an accelerator of asymmetric warfare.

Today’s tech giants are already reckless and will lose control of the very systems they are creating.

Roman Yampolskiy predicts there’s a 99.9% chance that artificial general intelligence will wipe out humanity within the next century.

It’s now or never we ensure that the values of humanity are enshrined.

THE BEADY EYE SAYS THIS US/ ISRAEL ATTACK ON IRIAN IS GOING TO BE AN UNMITIGATED DISASTER.

The Future of Mankind, WE ENTERING AND ERA OF MORE WARS.

( Five minute read)

It is not how dangerous this war is going to be to the Middle East, rather the signals it is sending to the rest of the world.

If you think accommodating a USA base gives one protection you need to think again.

Iran’s nuclear ambitions began under the rule of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, with support from the United States and Western Europe.

In 1957, Iran and the US signed a civil nuclear cooperation agreement as part of President Dwight Eisenhower’s “Atoms for Peace” program.

Only self defense against a prior armed attack across as international border legally justifies a claim of self-defense.

(Absent this, all threats, as well as uses of force, are considered severe violations of international law, which is and has been shown in all wars to be pie in the sky.)

Surely it’s not necessary to refer to previous wars conducted in the last century to realise that you cannot defeat a people whether you bomb them from here to kingdom come.

The current war in the Ukraine is another example.

Military might no longer matters in wars that are conducted by Missiles and drones.

———————

Iran and Russia are strategic allies and form an axis in the Caucasus alongside Armenia.

Iran and Russia are also military allies in the conflicts in Syria, Iraq, and Ukraine; and partners in Afghanistan and post-Soviet Central Asia. The Russian Federation is also the chief supplier of arms and weaponry to Iran.

China and Pakistan have also emerged as friends of Iran;

Already the conflict is resulting in a horrific toll of dead and injured, major environmental destruction, large scale forced migration, world-wide recession, as well as producing other equally dangerous and unintended consequences.

All of which contribute to the immiseration and increasingly forced migration of millions of people across the region and the unjustified repression of their legitimate aspirations for freedom, justice, democracy and sustainable development.

Indeed, absent a valid claim of self-defense any attack on Iran, never mind a full-scale invasion and occupation by the United States, violates the core articles of the UN Charter (Articles 2(4), 33, 39 & 51) as well as the legal imperative to seek a peaceful settlement of all international disputes.

Donald Trump this time has bitten off more than Boots on the ground can handle or win.

Even with the cheque book of the Oligarchs like the Adelsons the outcome of this war is not written in stone or regime change.

The world is now being held hostage to its values.

HISTORY OF THE WORLD., The Future of Mankind

( Four minute read)

They say we learn from our mistakes, and that if we don’t history repeats itself.

This could be true, but the unborn are not responsible for past history or our mistakes.

So should we be teaching them about the horrors of our species- wars – brutality and the like.

I suppose there is an argument to both sides.

They should be made aware of our past both in its glory and its barbarity.

For example:

Germans should never be allowed to sweep under the carpet its Nazism.

The Japanese should never be allowed to forget their treatment of prisoners.

The British should never be allowed to deny their imperialism and slavery.

The USA should never be allowed to defend their support of ethnic cleansing and support of Israel Genocides.

Not forgetting Dictators such as, Stalin – Pol Pot – Franco – Tojo – Mao all mass killers.

The achievements of the earliest civilizations – an overview of where and when the first civilizations appeared and a depth study of one of the following: Ancient Sumer; The Indus Valley; Ancient Egypt; The Shang Dynasty of Ancient China.

The list is endless, but how far back should we go.

Crucially, we don’t just cover our own history.

In Europe from the Stone Age to the Iron Age.

The US, we only have to go back 250 years,

The six “historical thinking concepts” are:

Historical significance, primary source evidence, continuity and change, cause and consequence, historical perspectives and ethical dimensions. Together, these concepts form the basis of historical inquiry.

Peter Sexias defines the ethical dimension of historical interpretation as: “how we, in the present, judge actors in different circumstances in the past; how various interpretations of the past reflect different moral stances today; and when and how crimes of the past bear consequences today”

The ethical implications of various human actions and behaviours.

  • Napoleon.
  • Muhammad.
  • William Shakespeare.
  • Abraham Lincoln.
  • George Washington.
  • Adolf Hitler.
  • Aristotle.

Too many people these days are living fragmented lives, more like an existence rather than living with purpose, meaning, and satisfaction.

Stop watching the news, get off social media and get outside.

( Three minute read)

No matter how one looks at the state of our countries, our governments, our institutions, our politicians, the world and its Leaders, or technology is governing the Iran war with us going head first into an insane mess.

Air power can and can’t do — it can devastate a regime, but it can’t replace one, and what we’ve likely unleashed is a chaotic internal struggle with no clear plan for what comes next.

This is about trump and netanyahu trying to cover their asses and protect their wealth.

They are both deeply involved in criminal and inhumane activities. This war deflects attention away from that.

Look at the history and the timing.

The primary principle at work is the separation of powers for the purpose of preserving our liberties and freedoms to exercising power for threatening aggression.

There is more concern about the supply of energy, than the deaths of Iranians.

The real vulnerability of the global energy system is not the narrow waterway between Iran and Oman.

It is the fragile network of infrastructure that surrounds it.

And as the current crisis makes clear, that network may prove far easier to disrupt than the Strait itself.

This is a clever strategy.

————————

Ukraine’s war with Russia has rewritten the rules of combat.

Wars are now asymmetric.

The proliferation of robotics and autonomous systems is altering the character of modern conflict.

Drones armed with explosives strike with pinpoint accuracy, followed by a kamikaze robot that breached the enemy’s defences

Troops surrendered—not to humans, but to machines.

As these technologies change how we fight, what we fight with, and how we perceive our adversaries,. Combat is conducted from secure, remote locations, minimizing direct human exposure to danger.

Moreover, by automating routine tasks, these systems also reduce the cognitive burden on commanders.

This allows leaders to focus on critical decision-making and command larger, more dispersed formations with greater agility.

———————-

Perhaps the most profound change is in the human dimension of conflict.

The danger zone far beyond the front lines,

Simultaneously, these systems are altering the psychology of those who operate them.

Drone piloting interfaces, often resembling video games, create a sense of detachment from the battlefield.

This gamification of warfare distances combatants from the visceral reality of combat, raising some ethical questions.

Delegating life-and-death decisions to machines creates a potential accountability gap, blurring the lines of responsibility for actions taken.

No longer does success depend on flesh and blood, but on silicon and steel.

THE BEADY EYE SAYS THERE ARE NINE COUNTRIES WITH NUCLEAR POWER.

Nuclear power., The Future of Mankind

The United States, Russia, France, China, the United Kingdom, Pakistan, India, Israel, and North Korea.

Only 5 of them are permitted nuclear weapon states under the NPT:

There were an estimated 70,374 nuclear warheads worldwide in 1986.

80% of warheads are held by just two: Russia and the United States.

99.99% of the world are people just trying to live their lives and pursue personal happiness. The other 0.01% (whom we call our “leaders”) like to tell us that we are at war.

The hypocrisy and entitlement of two of the most dangerous and violent nuclear-armed nations telling another country not to develop nuclear weapons could not be more self righteous.

For Iran, a nuclear weapon — an indiscriminate weapon of mass destruction by its very nature — is deemed to be religiously impermissible.

If there’s any country that should be stopped from having nuclear weapons, it’s Israel — a rogue nation defying all international conventions to in order to carry out a bloody genocide and expand its borders.

Its nuclear threat is the one we should be taking seriously.

If Israel and the United States were truly concerned about the threat and danger of nuclear weapons, they wouldn’t be bombing Iran’s nuclear sites and risking the spread of deadly nuclear radiation in the region.

This is Trump derangement syndrome.

The whole irony of dropping nuclear bombs on Iran to destroy nuclear bombs is beyond belief.

Over the last century, we’ve watched as the United States has carried out countless “regime change” operation across the globe.

These U.S.-engineered coups have destabilized nations, subverted democracy and made the world a more dangerous place — often in the name of democracy, national security and world peace.

Israel, a country that is actively committing genocide against the Palestinians, has blatantly violated the rules and norms of warfare by killing Gaza civilians en masse and attacking five of its neighboring countries just this year.

Israel stole highly enriched uranium from a nuclear facility in Pennsylvania in the 1960s. Successive U.S. presidents turned a blind eye and have since avoided questions about Israel’s nuclear program and deliberately ignored its own intelligence about it.

Israel has so far unleashed some 70,000 tons of bombs on Gaza, equivalent to six Hiroshimas. Yet we’re told that Iran is the threat to the Middle East.

All of this is nothing new it has been going on for years and will end in disaster.

The intention consequences will be civil wars resulting in death away beyond armed terrorists forces.

All of this undermines international efforts to curb the spread of nuclear weapons., as to be invasion-proof one will have to have nuclear weapons.

THE BEADY EYE SAYS: WITH THE IRAN WAR WE ARE ONCE AGAIN WITNESSING IMPERIAL BLOWBACK.

06 Friday Mar 2026

Posted by bobdillon33@gmail.com in Imperlism, Uncategorized

Capitalism and Greed, Imperlism, Iran war, The Future of Mankind

( Ten minute read)

Here is the real reason for the Iran war and many other wars.

When Donald Trump said “ this is not Winston Churchill we are dealing with “

He was correct because Churchill in 1953, during his second premiership, Britain and the US supported a covert operation that overthrew Iranian prime minister Mohammad Mosaddegh and restored the authority of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.

The coup was organised largely by the CIA, under the direction of Kermit Roosevelt Jr., but Churchill enthusiastically backed the plan.

——————

What we are witnessing now with the outbreak of war in Iran is fascism unbound, armed with military force and insulated with media complicity.

The deeper crisis is American imperialism at a stage so aggressive, so openly criminal, that it no longer feels compelled to cloak its ambitions in the language of diplomacy or democracy.

In this moment, imperial power has chosen an uneducated fascist demagogue as its ideal spokesperson, a figure whose vulgarity mirrors the nakedness of the project he represents.

What is taking shape is a new apparatus of colonial terror, where power, social media, and everyday life collapse into a single machinery of consent, training the public to see violence as spectacle and domination as normal.

It is imperial power acting without disguise, announcing that domination, plunder, and regime change are no longer covert operations but public policy.

History does not repeat itself mechanically, but it does return with new uniforms, new slogans, and the same deadly imperial ambitions.

Violence does not generate peace. It generates violence.

——————-

This imperial aggression mirrors the logic of an Adolf doctrine called Lebensraum.

A racist and expansionist ideology that justified conquest, terror, and annexation in the name of national destiny.

Donald Trump declaring that he will decide who will be the next leader in Iran is a declaration of imperial intent, a signal that the United States now claims the right to decide which governments may exist and which must be eliminated.

This declaration like in Venezuela is an open admission of support for the fusion of state violence, corporate plunder, and imperial entitlement.

It is conquest no longer disguised as security policy but authoritarianism power that no longer bothers to conceal its motives, and where the extraction of wealth replaces ideology as the naked logic of domination.

( Today, that logic has metastasized. We now live in an era in which what serves Chevron, ExxonMobil, and the oil and arms)

Trump rehearsed this logic at home with ICE before exporting it abroad.

The assault on Venezuela follows the same script, a belief that violence, when sufficiently spectacular, can substitute for legitimacy, and that domination itself is proof of sovereignty.

It is an attempt to ‘normalize’ and ‘justify’ gangsterism.

We now have newscasts trafficked in images of people dancing in the streets, staging public jubilation around what is in fact, a spectacularized violation of both international and domestic law.

Repressive imperial power has become visceral and ocular.

State terrorism is no longer merely enforced by violence, it is normalized and taught, rendered legitimate through a form of pedagogical terrorism produced and circulated by nearly the entire corporate media apparatus.

——————-

There was no scrutiny of the fabricated claims that Venezuela was plotting an invasion of the United States or serving as the epicenter of drug trafficking, assertions long discredited but endlessly recycled to justify imperial violence.

Nor, crucially, was there any acknowledgment of Trump’s staggering hypocrisy:

While declaring a war on drugs in the name of national security, he pardoned one of the most notorious narcotics traffickers ever prosecuted in the United States.

A notorious drug deal call Juan Orlaando Hernandez described by prosecutors as a central figure in an eighteen-year operation that flooded the U.S. with more than 400 tons of cocaine.

The immolation of international and humanitarian law, as the U.S. and Israel have done in Gaza, and as took place in Caracas, generates a world without laws, a world of failed states, warlords, rogue imperial powers and perpetual violence and chaos.

If there is one lesson we should have learned from Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Libya, it is that regime change spawns Frankensteinian monsters of our own creation.

Silence by other countries and world organisations is not neutrality. It is complicity, and in an age of disappearing laws and vanishing lives, it is a complicity that history will recognize for what it is, an updated version of the worst horrors of the past.

———————

The overthrow of Mosaddegh became one of the central grievances invoked by Iran’s revolutionary leaders after the Iranian revolution.

Since 1979, the Islamic Republic has repeatedly invoked foreign intervention – particularly the Anglo-American coup – to legitimise its rule and to portray itself as the defender of Iranian sovereignty against external domination.

So we that is American need to recognise that Iran’s political system has been forged in the memory of past foreign interventions – and that any new conflict would risk reinforcing the very forces it seeks to weaken.

THE BEADY EYE SAYS. THE LACK OF CRITICAL THINKING IS BECOMING LETHAL.

The Future of Mankind, Critical thinking

( Seven minute read)

We don’t have to look far to see a prime example of this with the War in the Middle East.

We all know that history shows us that it is easy to start a war, never mind to stop it spreading, or to negotiate an end.

With current world leaders like the Donald Trump and Putin ( Which is scary to say the least) Critical Thinking appears to be might without any evidence of humanity.

———————

The wealth of communications and information can easily overwhelm our reasoning abilities.

In an age of computers, video games, and the Internet, there’s a growing question about how technology is changing critical thinking and whether society benefits from it.

It’s largely a product of our own invention—and a subjective one at that.

A greater focus on visual media exacts a toll, with creativity and critical thinking landing in a mushy swamp somewhere between perception and reality; measurable and incomprehensible.

Although technology alters the way we see, hear, and assimilate our world—the act of thinking remains decidedly human.

What’s more.

It’s ironic that with ever-growing piles of data and information it doesn’t equate to greater knowledge and better decision-making.

Developing our abilities to think more clearly, richly, fully—individually and collectively—is absolutely crucial [to solving world problems.

Computer technology has enhanced lives in countless ways, but the ability to think for oneself is in slow demise, not a sudden death.

We get comfortable with our choices, beliefs, and assumptions and are surrounded by people who agree with us.

The internet curate content that reinforces our existing beliefs. Confirmation bias makes us feel validated, even if we’re miles from the truth.

It’s so easy to get lost in digital chaos.

Purposeful and reflective judgment about what to believe or what to do in response to observations, experience, verbal or written expressions, or arguments.

Overlay technology and that’s where things get complex. “We can do the same critical-reasoning operations without technology as we can with it—just at different speeds and with different ease.

Critical thinking is a muscle, and like any muscle, it needs exercise.

But we’re not exercising it enough.

We are overwhelmed by a constant barrage of devices and tasks.

Worse:

We increasingly suffer from the Google syndrome. People accept what they read and believe what they see online is fact when it is not.

Unfortunately, most visual media are real-time media that do not allow time for reflection.

We’re too quick to accept information at face value. We’re more interested in headlines than understanding the objective truth.

Everything is suddenly getting worse.

It’s everywhere. In politics. Corporate systems. Government institutions so we’re entering living in permanent uncertainty.

Technology is changing the way we approach complex problems and conundrums, and making it more difficult to really think.

One thing is certain.

The United States, a country with a long history of democracy, is heading toward authoritarianism at a dizzying pace, literally day by day.

Autocracy, and toxic leaders in general, can be very attractive, especially to people who feel victimised.

When the USA elected Donald Dump Americans, the benefit of doubt they did not realize that they were electing not only a new leader but inadvertently ushering in a new form of government.

And this is why critical thinking is so important in real life,.

Plato and Aristotle both wrote about how the passions can influence our thinking.

Perhaps, after all these centuries, it is time to take their message seriously.

THE BEADY EYE OPEN LETTER TO THE NEXT GENERATION.

THIS IS WHAT WE ARE LEAVING YOU.

A majestic world of beauty that has evolved over billions of year.

Populated by eight billion of us called humans, living alone side 9 million animal species, and 6 million insects species.

510 million km2 that’s 197 square miles, of which 29% is land and 71% water.

20% of this land is covered by roads 31% by forests, with around 1.5% covered by concrete.

There are microplastics everywhere.

197 counties, with 7000 odd languages, with 48,00 cities.

There are around 10,000 religions.

The whole lot is going around the sun at 65,000 miles per hour while spinning on its axis at about 1,000 miles per hour in a universe of infinite.

——————-

We are leaving you with the infancy of a new non organic species that will be needed to explore the universe.

We are leaving you with not just a planet but an atmosphere heating up threatening the very things that enables life.

We are leaving you with rampant inequality.

We are leaving you with corruption on a global scale, with Fascism on the rise.

We are leaving you with the ability to either destroy or save the planet against a meteorite strike.,

We are leaving you with a world where it might be cruel to have children.

Truth will become false and false will become true.

So rest assured the next generation has the same future as the previous one. Sadly dealing with unpredictable CHANGE will be your number one problem.

Just understand no one have perfect life.

People who preach you about perfect life are the dreamers who never had it.

Remember few only can create history and it need not be related to money always.

The curtain has been pulled back.

What happens next depends on what we do with what we now see.

We failed to teach you what is life.

Remember your AI digital girl friend will be untrustworthy.

Remember might is not always right.

Remember Earth has seen at least 6 different species of humans.

To day there is only one human species left called HOMO SAPIENS ( Wise Men)

Remember robots might transform the world for better or worse, they will not be accountable to your life and your actions.

As I write this blog an other war has started, empathising the fragility of humanity.

This is a hugely critical moment in humanity. Whether AI is harnessed to human values or not.

Yours Robert de Mayo Dillon.

THE BEADY EYE SAYS THAT WE ARE NOW LIVING IN A WORLD OF EXISTENCE NOT A WORLD OF LIVING.

WE HAVE DESTROYED LIVING, REPLACING IT WITH A WORLD OF EXISTENCE.

We now have a way world, with widening polarisation ideologies, conflict, corruption, failed states, refugees, rampant levels of mental health issues, loneliness, family breakdown, drugs, fraught younger generations, environmental devastation and artificial intelligence.

HOW HAS THIS HAPPENED?

SET ON THE FOUNDATION OF CAPITALIST GREED and the world can’t deny this for much longer.

Unless we move away from the inequality of 99% of the population working to make 1% richer, we’re going to see no end to conflict, never mind a purpose for living.

We were given a computer brain, but no program for it.

Humanity is therefore a virtue, linked with altruistic ethics, derived from the human condition, but it is on the precipice of shattering Earth’s limits.

We are bombarded each day with rhetoric designed to make us feel guilty about being human. It’s one of the more poisonous aspects of modern  day living it’s affects us all at some point.

Each generation adapts to survive in its own time and accepts that as normal.

Our survival as a species won’t come about because of politicians or scientists, it will be the inherent wisdom of people who continue to live life on the margins.

We need to understand that we are not in control of our species’ future. There are forces far more powerful that determine this.

For example our reluctance to recognise the awesome power of nature, confounds our inability accept the need to protect it.

The truth is, our existence will sooner be eroded by the cumulative effects of lots of tint, incremental damages to wildlife and nature.

With mental health problems, with millions living on social, humanity is on the ground, with no way for the majority of us to have a life without being able to buy it.

Popularism is on the rise with more and more of us living the closed doors of smart phones.

The economy is supposed to provide services in exchange for out labour.

As tax revenues are shrinking these services are been cut year on year.

The solution is to scrap Benefits and replace them with a Basic Income sufficient to let people look after themselves.

This is more urgent with AI algorithms plundering the world for short term profits.

It’s a bleak future with over a dozen current wars which will drive millions of more refugees / migrants.

We all been spoon fed by a media that is turning everything in a form of entertainment.

The only way to get at the truth seems to be down the barrel of a gun.

THE BEADY EYE SAYS., NONE OF US UNDERSTAND WHAT IS COMING WITH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.

Artificial Intelligence., Capitalism and Greed, The Future of Mankind, Visions of the future.

( Seven minute read)

Yes you have a smart phone and yes there are massive amounts of money being invested in AI, but few of us understand what AI is doing or going to do to society.

Humans draw on norms, social expectations, emotional responses and culturally shaped intuitions about harm and fairness to think about morality.

Artificial intelligence has none of these.

Large language models can often match human responses but for reasons that bear no resemblance to human reasoning.

Unfortunately there is no reason and no way that a human mind can keep up with any artificial intelligence model.

When a generative AI system does something, we have no idea, at a specific or precise level, why it makes the choices it does.

This is not the AI we want.

It can and will destabilise trust not just in the capabilities of the model but in humans as a whole.

Its possible forthcoming progeny, artificial general intelligence — in ways that would benefit humanity, but also with the “tantalizing possibility” that researchers can finally figure out AI interpretability,

The moment you learned what their knowledge is actually made of—patterns in text rather than contact with the world—something essential like truth and trust without total transparency and accountability dissolved and disappeared.

We know that these large language models (LLMs) are imitating an understanding of the world that they don’t actually have—even if their fluency can make that easy to forget.

The model is not actually imagining anything or engaging in any deliberation, just reproducing patterns in how people talk or write about these counterfactuals.  Not an understanding of how events actually produce outcomes in the world.

Where a human evaluates, a model predicts.

When a human engages with the world, a model engages with a distribution of words.

It does not give them access to the world those words refer to.

And yet, because human judgments are also expressed through language, the model’s answers often end up resembling human answers on the surface.

This gap between what models seem to be doing is becoming indistinguishable, to the observer, from knowledge itself.

The model cannot know when it is hallucinating, because it cannot represent truth in the first place. It cannot form beliefs, revise them or check its output against the world.

It cannot distinguish a reliable claim from an unreliable one except by analogy to prior linguistic patterns.

In short, it cannot do what judgment is fundamentally for.

People are already using these systems in contexts in which it is necessary to distinguish between plausibility and truth, such as law, medicine and psychology.

A model can generate a paragraph that sounds like a diagnosis, a legal analysis or a moral argument.

When we ask them to judge, we quietly redefine what judgment becomes—shifting it from a relationship between a mind and the world to a relationship between a prompt and a probability distribution.

So where are we in this new evolution?

We must treat large language models as sophisticated linguistic instruments that require human oversight precisely because they lack access to the domain that judgment ultimately depends on: the world itself.

Once artificial intelligence in what ever form it takes starts taking decisions without human intervention supervision and ability to be shuttled we human will become collateral damage.,

All human comments appreciated. All like clicks and abuse chucked in the bin.
