We now have commentators smothering the natural drama of a game or sporting events, rather than enhancing it.

Real sport is unpredictable; forcing a scripted narrative makes it feel artificial.

Today, dead air is treated like a broadcast mistake, leaving no room for ambient stadium energy.

Commentators over-analyzing every play through complex metrics can dilute the raw emotion, passion and flow of the movement.

When commentators focus on banter, personal anecdotes, or trying to go viral with dramatic, pre-planned soundbites, the focus shifts away from the sport.

Of course there are these days AI apps that can filter out excessive verbal at the cost of being pestered.

All human comments appreciated. All like clicks and abuse chucked in the bin.
