There’s plenty of hype to go around about AI.
Its going to revolutionize this and automate that. But how, exactly?
It’s a question that’s become increasingly pressing as governments and investors bet increasingly massive gobs of cash on its power to change the world.
Will it be the end of religious beliefs?
———————
We now have most devoted acolytes struggling to articulate how AI is actually going to help humanity.
I am very excited about the potential for k improving human life and unlocking possibilities for our civilization.
Thats consistent with the real possibility of things going wrong.
AI is actually good because stuff like lawsuits, medical problems, and work is just too hard for humans to think about on their own.
However at the moment and time when one thinks about AI it’s not even close to performing human-level thought, keep in mind, these are basically massive predictive algorithms, a more accurate phrase would be “data at scale.” Without imagination. “
————————
Everybody who grows up now is going to have AI.
Of course, that’s a self-reinforcing argument, a cop-out which doesn’t explain why it’s important to have “thought or imagination at scale,” or why thought is currently insufficient at its current, human-sized scale.
We humans-cannot equate our thoughts on an earthly scale. So who has the final say in how knowledge is used and who has access to it?
These questions might feel a long way off and Ai itself could well provided the answer.
There is one thing for sure no matter how we handle AI it will not be like previous chances to generation
Why?
Because this change has inevitable consequence with the introducing an alien form of life which until up to now was organic. A non organic form of life not subjected to any of the weaknesses of human life will have to have a total separation from human life in its laws.
There is no time like now in order to protect human values that these machines have a self destructive code that automatically activates if the machine threatens a human.

Highly unlikely.
I can see humanity be ruled by digital technology.
AI may well result in the extinction of humankind — but that it’s worth the risk, because the upsides of superintelligence could be so profound.
I am very excited about the potential for radically improving human life and unlocking possibilities for our civilization. That’s consistent with the real possibility of things going wrong.
Rest assured thinks will go wrong.
Artificial Intelligence will no be infallible.
