This is the question if we could answer it with a positive yes would bring peace to the world we live in.
The answer appears however to be No . It’s not possible to satisfy man
Why?
Because we suffer from greed. We must have more of everything.
One million, two million, one country, another country, one woman many women one oil well many oil wells etc etc
Some people say we have greed gene. But thats not how genetics works
Resource acquisition is built into us by our ancestors. The ones with the most resources survive.
We have unlimited wants but limited means of getting them .
In this world we have very few examples of one nation helping another to lift its self up. If there is an example it usually two societies of a similar nature, not a richer society lifting a poor society.
As a species we remain to divide.
Money and power begets Money and power.
Climate change might change more than the climate by making us realise that there is no future in I am all right Jack society.
Highly unlikely when one looks at the history of our species. Killing is the easer option.
Will we ever be satisfied- yes when we’re all dead.
